Since the school is closing and as much as it pains me to see our school close I have no choice but to re-enroll my child some where else. I have investigated some of the other Catholic Schools in the area. I have decided that St. Thomas Aquinas in Monterey Park will suit our needs. The principal is a good leader, the school is dynamic and I believe my child will be happy there. As an added bonus, it is less expensive. If any other parents are in the same situation as I was with the school closing I suggest you try St. Thomas Aquinas.

If there is one word I can use to describe All Souls it's Perseverance! With the economy that way it is today, parents are truly sacraficing to send their children to a private/Catholic school. Your choice should be All Souls. Due to the dedication of the Principal and faculty, All Souls has the heart and mission that you don't see in many schools today. They are here for the nurturing of our children..100%. I have had two children graduate from All Souls, with two others currently attending. I could not be happier with the experience I have had with All Souls. Keep up the great work All Souls!

New to the school.. love the new principal.. love the new teachers.. so far so good.. go and check it out for yourself! Teacher student ratios are just right..and I love all the sports that they offer ... BTW, I agree with comment below. It IS usually the parents that AREN'T involved that are not satisfied. I have has a great experience so far with the other parents as well.

Bad comments usually come from the parents who are not involved. You get out what you put in. Ive been a parent at All Souls for nine years now. I agree that there are some changes and change is sometimes scary. As for the comment before me, the principle is now a female which tells me that this came from a previous parent that may be angry. As for fundraising, the school has ALWAYS offered a way to opt out. They always help and understand financial problems. My child has been on honor roll since kinder, has incredible test scores, and is proud to be student at All Souls. The school is small, and the kids feel like family. A great

Horrible experience, even more horrible school!! Do not consider this place. The principal looks like he just graduated from high school and blends in a little too well with the 8th graders. The teachers have unrealistic expectations for their students and expect all children to fit into this specific cookie cutter mold. They want, want, want (service hours, fundraisers, mass attendance, donations, etc.) but don't give, give, give. Their staff is skeletal (there isn't someone in the office at all times) and resources are poor. You're better off putting your child in public school. Sorry to disappoint if you're considering this school, but don't get duped like I did! (Because if you do, they'll keep your money, I guarantee you..)

While countless changes are in the works they are all positive. The school has a computer lab and new teachers will bring a positive energy that is greatly needed. Both of the principals are a joy and over all, great people. The parents, like in most schools have their problems with gossip and such and need to focus on the whole picture. I am a new parent and have had nothing but favorable things. While I am a working parent with limited resources, I get involved as much a possible and know how important it is to support our school, teachers, and staff. Change starts with us and one should remember that we are the first role models to our children and our actions speak for us. All Souls school is great and greater things will come!

Both my children have attended All Souls, it is very sad to know that good teachers will be leaving us! We seem not to get positive answers from both Principal and Future Principal! What is going on!

I was initially impressed with the intimate feeling of the small school; however, have realized that the school has many defects that will take years to improve. Although the Principal has good interpersonal skills, he has submitted his resignation after only 3 years and is leaving the school in an uproar. The Kinder teacher who is taking her first administrative position will replace him. Additionally, over half the teachers have been laid off, and the school still does not have computers for the students, so the situation does not look positive for the next few years. Like most Catholic schools, parents are either very involved, or completely apathetic. It is frustrating for those of us who are professionals, as many parents are not capable of contributing talents or resources to the school.
