Fair Oaks Academy is a wonderful school. My daughter has attended since she was in Kindergarten and is now in 6th grade. I love that my kids can work at their own pace to learn the basics such as reading, writing and arithmetic. Their Kumon program is an extra bonus and helps my children excel in their math skills. The arts offered is outstanding. I am a professional musician and my daughter learned how to read music on recorder and has since moved on to play trumpet in the Jazz band. I have since taught her piano and her basic music skills were firmly established at Fair Oaks Academy. She has also learned Irish Dance & fine art as well as singing. My son is in 2nd grade and started at the preschool at Fair Oaks Academy. He is an excellent student in reading & math and really enjoys learning new things in all of his studies which include science, history and other subjects. He routinely comes home enthusiastically telling me about what he learned at school. He won Kumon Honor Roll last year and is very proud of this. The teachers care so much about my children and work with them and us as parents to ensure that they understand their studies fully. I love this school!!!

Great school! Low teacher/student ratio. Every kids has their own program. They are doing work at their own level. The school also provide lots of activities. Highly recommend!

My four-year-old son has been attending Fair Oaks for the past three months. We could not be happier with this school! He comes home every day bursting with new things to tell me. I am often amazed at how much he learns and retains daily. He just turned four and tonight he was telling me all about the Geography lesson he had today. He is also very close to reading, and when he started he did not even know many of his letters. Beyond the academics, I've noticed how much more kind and patient his is now when dealing with his little sister. I attribute this to the wonderful group of kids at his school. I don't know how the teachers do it. The kids are so kind and respectful, the older children often helping the younger ones. I would recommend this school to any parent!

Fair Oaks Academy is a wonderful school! I am a mother of four children ranging in ages 2 years old to 16 years old. My two oldest girls started at Fair Oaks in Pre-school. They both went onto Flintridge Prep in junior high where they are excelling. My six year old, who also started in Pre-School, currently attends Fair Oaks Academy and is doing incredibly well. She loves school and is consistently above grade level. I absolutely plan on sending my two year old there when he is ready. Fair Oaks Academy not only fosters excellent academics it creates an incredible learning environment filled with happy children that actually ALL get along. Seriously! The children are so supportive of each other spanning the grade levels. It is something to behold. I couldn't be happier in my experience with this school. Without a doubt, Fair Oaks Academy is a huge reason my two oldest children are doing so well at a highly selective Junior High and High School.

I love the changes this school has made in our family. For a small school, it wields mighty punch. Our daughter loves this school. The atmosphere is relaxed, loving and nurturing. And we love the individual learning plans and homework policy. It allows us to work at home on our daughters specific needs. It also allows her time to be a kid. Since we've removed television from our routine during the week. We spend more time relating to one another, eating meals together at the dinner table, playing games and having more fun TOGETHER.

I am so happy with the results in academics at Fair Oaks Academy. My daughter has been a grade ahead since she began at their K-8 school. The teachers are wonderful with the kids and the environment created is safe and sane. I am a very picky parent when it comes to who I leave my child with and these guys are a perfect fit for us. My daughter loves going to school and doesn't want to go home at the end of the day!! I could not recommend any other school more highly then I recommend Fair Oaks Academy.

When my three kids first started at Fair Oaks Academy, they were behind in their reading and math skills. Now they are up to grade level in reading and almost there in math. They have an interest in learning and, in fact, all of them love to read now, whereas before it was so hard to get them to read. They like to study now. They want to learn and they are doing it on their own. I love this school. The teachers are so excited and interested in the kids and learning, and my kids get great individual attention.

"My son attended Fair Oaks Academy from first grade to fifth grade. I chose the school because of the small class size, the music program, the outstanding teachers and the beautiful yard. While the public schools with their big pavements and iron fences in our area looked more like a jail to me, Fair Oaks Academy appeared more like a child's backyard. The school has beautiful trees, a climbing wall and a tire swing which invite the children to play creatively. My son especially enjoyed the music program where he played the clarinet and alto saxophone. The school jazz band performed for parents and local charity events. We are outdoor people and our son loves playing in the woods. At Fair Oaks Academy the children have the great opportunity to visit the school cabins in the mountains. In the wintertime my son went sledding there and during the summer he enjoyed swimming in the river next to the cabins. Academically, our son got the opportunity to work at his own pace and he really advanced in math and literacy skills. Thanks Fair Oaks Academy!"

My daughter is 7 and my son is 4 and they have been attending Fair Oaks Academy for a couple of years now. My family couldn't be happier with the school! Both kids have been able to advance at their own pace and are way beyond their "grade or age level". My just turned 4 year old reads at 1st grade level and my 7 year old is doing 4th grade math! Both are Kumon honor roll which the school offers as part of their curriculum. Not only does the school excel in academics, they offer lots of activities like music, art, dance and singing lessons plus lots of fun field trips and activities. It's an amazing value! The smaller classrooms allow for a lot of individual attention and there's also very consistent rules and expectations from all faculty. I call it the best kept secret in town! Sunday morning my son had a fit when I told him it wasn't a school day, what else could a parent ask for?

Fair Oaks Academy is the best kept secret in education! My daughter & son have attended for 3 years & are both two years ahead in reading & math. The kids go at their own pace and the small class sizes mean a lot of individualized attention. Fair Oaks also offers field trips, band, singing, art, dance & PE from 8:30-5:30 at no extra charge - try getting that anywhere else. Summer school not only has all the above but also swimming - my son was swimming at age 3! If you want a great place for your kid to learn & develop, Fair Oaks Academy is worth a look.

My wife and I decided to send our son, who will be entering Kindergarten, to Fair Oaks because of the superlative work it does with its students. Education is of paramount importance to us (we both attended top 15 universities and have post graduate degrees). While other schools we considered (e.g., Poly, Mayfield, High Point, etc.) may have better facilities, Fair Oaks is unparalleled in what it enables its students to achieve. We spoke with many students in the K class and were stunned by their intellect and maturity. All the students read at 1-2 levels above their current grade. They are already learning fractions and doing multi-number arithmetic word problems. The school allows students to advance at their own rate, so bright kids can learn rapidly (we learned afterwards that Fair Oaks alums not surprisingly matriculate to schools like MIT). I was also pleased with the school s congenial atmosphere. Students spontaneously approached my son and invited him to play. The teacher and administrator made my son, who is reserved, feel comfortable and welcome. If you have a precocious child, you should consider Fair Oaks. You ll be amazed by what your child can become.

This is the best school I have found. The teachers work with your child one on one and really help them to expand and be themselves. My son has been going to Fair Oaks since preschool and he is doing so well! He has been reading since before he turned three. He loves the art, music, out doors, dancing, sports etc. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL!

My son s entire schooling has been at Fair Oaks Academy. He has now been accepted at Harvard-Westlake High School. He is very much his own person, and is very independent as a student, able to learn anything he sets his mind to.

Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
