We have three children at Hillsborough and have been very happy with the education our children receive. All three are involved in various activities (scouting, swimming, baseball, church) and I am able to compare their academic progress with those of their peers...I am thrilled when I see how well-rounded our children are in comparison.

As a student, I found that it has a very home like essence to it. On terms of education, You or your child will receive a good education. To add onto the manner of education I would say that the books and knowledge that you get here will not differ from most basic public schools, and by this I mean knowledge found in books and in some cases teachers. The education here is only better because you get more on-on-one time with the teacher and that they really make sure that you learn it. The lunch program is truly in my view an abomination, the food hold little nutritional value and is of bland taste. The only decent day was Friday when there was pizza, but for the other days all fast food based main meals. I would suggest bringing your lunch. I found flaws in some staff from my viewing. Over the years this school has catered to more foreign students. The junior high is quiet small, I felt lonely at times.1 exceptionally high note is that this school is great for those leaving home school and going to school for the first time, along with coming in from foreign countries to America. Just because its a private school does not mean that u will make friends with everyone, some were mean.
My daughter started here in the preschool program a few months ago. We visited about 20 different schools before deciding on Hillsborough. We were impressed by the personal attention she gets because they keep the class size to a maximum 12 students. The children are all very polite. Sometimes I have to pick up my daughter late and after 5pm, the preschoolers are blended with the older children. The older children are so well-mannered and kind to my little girl and she just loves being there. The staff is very nice and attentive. Many parents are involved in school activities and in the community. The building is much older and they could certainly use some upgrades as well a better lunch program but overall, we are very pleased and impressed with the quality of education our daughter is receiving.

I highly recommend Hillsborough. My child is receiving a quality education at a comparatively competitive price to other private schools in the area. I like the well rounded curriculum which incorporates 'character education' lacking in todays schools. The staff is highly qualified and very attentive to the children. My child benefitted from the unique 'bridging program' offered. I did my homework before chosing Hillsborough and so far, I am very please with my decision.

Pre-K is excellent program - our daughter has attended Hillsborough at 191 ( not the other one - there are two ) for nearly a year now and she has made dramatic improvements academically and I also appreciate her improved social skills and manners. One bad thing - I keep meaning to request that they offer healthy hot-lunches instead of the 'fast-food' menu they do have. As is, I pack a lunch for our daughter. Other than that - excellent.

AWESOME opportunity for a child for a life of success. My daughter went there from pre-school to 8th grade. She is currently at a top university and is doing great ! We attribute much of her success to Hillsborough. Thank-you.

Education, personal character and integrity are the top priorities at Hillsborough. Our children LOVE IT! They can't wait to go. They enjoy learning and are constantly challenged. They have bridging programs and are excelling at a more rapid rate than they did in public school. They are nurtured and cared for by a staff that I feel truly cares about them and their future. I love it there too!

This school has a great look to it, nice teachers, but honestly not much to offer, old text books, library is a joke computers are ancient. Public schools have alot more to offer in this area and nice new things. Also kids at such a small school like this have no school activities like public schools do. Kinda strange you would figure the opposite out of a public vs. private. Anyway if your child is in YL ar AH the schools all have 9 or 10 ratings.

Hillsborough has outdated books, the hot lunch program is not a very well ballanced meal, many children are overweight, their teachers are not certified and very young. I would not recommend this exceptionally high priced school to any parent. You will receive better education at a much lower cost elsewhere.

Very high opinion of school and it's Principal. Core values are taught and curriculum is advanced. Children are challenged by educational standards but still consider it 'fun' with lots of enrichment programs and activities. Worth the costly tuition!

High academic achievement is taught and expected at this school. They are worth the 'high' tuition. Great teachers are present who encourage and support their students to make them well-rounded individuals. Highly recommend school and teachers!

Not a good school. The staff is nice but the for the education they teach its way overpriced. Not worth what they charge. A lot of nickle and diming after a high tuition rate.

Hillsborough has proven to be an exceptional school for our kids. We have been impressed with the parent teacher communication, the level of education, and the care with which students are treated. We are extremely happy and intend to keep our children until 8th grade. We highly recommned.

Great school, but need less fund raiser activities. Fees are high enough that fund raiser is out of hand. Kids are being motivated by fund raising to earn free stuff. School doesn't do a good job explaining why fund raising is necessary and where monies are going. Great teachers and doing a great job educating our children.
