This school is now subsumed into Maranatha Child Development Center, which was actually great. Canyon Montessori, however, was/is not good when it was its own entity. Our child's first year she loved her teacher, but all through her second year there she was afraid of the quite stern and irritable teacher. Worse, and I think this applies to both years, they taught her minimal letter writing, drawing, and scissors skills, such that at 4 years old and at a new (and great) small school, she is behind. Our daughter is quite smart and catching up very quickly, so clearly the gap was in the poor emotional fostering and the poor instruction. At her new school there are 8 kids and 2-3 teachers, she is learning to write her letters, and she is happier there and at home. Do not spend the several hundred per month on Canyon Montessori if it should ever return to its free-standing state.
