This school is a VERY good school. It has alot of fun and some parents on here don't attend this school, so I don't think they have the right to say that South is horrible or something. The teachers in South are kind, fun, and teaches us very good. Trust me, if you were a student in this school, you would understand what i'm saying. :]
I think Sount Junior High has a potential to be a even better school. I think the having substitus teachers all the time really hurst the kids overall, it's hard for them to adjust to an always changing personalities and teaching styles. Also if a teacher is on medical leave for some reasons, the school should authomatically have a long term subsitute as suppose to what is being done now, which is not effective at all. Overall South Jr. High is in a righ track but lots of room for improvement nyet.. Customer service is great! Thank you for all you do for our children.
My kid went to this school and he had ALOT of fun, he made alot of friends during his JLC class and he made a leader out of himself. I can't thank Miss Nielsen enough for that, thank you South.
Dude this schoool is fantastic, it has a great campose and has great activitys.Unlike oxford you dont get to have fun. All u do is work. So south should at least get a 7-10. Becasue its great and has afterschool activitys.
Don't know why you guys are saying this is a bad school, you're not even students here...First off, this school isn't really strict, but they care about the students, they make sure they have fun in this school, and!! This school is really easy to make friends, this is a really nice and clean school, don't believe the lies and rumors, South is a really nice school (Alot better then Oxford and Lexington) Really social school, I'd never really want to leave it LOL
South Junior High School is one of the best schools my child has attended! She loves her teachers. She talks about them all the time & how she misses them soo much. She left the school at the end of 8th grade with a 4.0! I wish I could go back there & take my other children to that school.
oh my god I had very bad experience with this school my daughter attend two years and I had to move her and I will never aloud none of my other kids to attend to that terrible school everything its bad teachers, councilors principal. I don t recommend this school to anybody.
South may have most of the latest educational gadgets (computers, cameras) and a modern campus, but the teachers here do not teach students anything. Most of teachers care more about giving detentions rather than covering the state standards. The test scores at South are also the lowest in the district. I'm glad that my son transfered out after 3 months.
Run! That is the advice I give to anybody with the ability to choose a different school. This school is in it's 4th year of failing and it shows. They are running the school like a jail as if that will bring the scores up.
South jhs is overall very horrible school. This school is not a safe school. I personally think this school and it's staff need major improvement. The students here need to shape up and be punished for their wrong actions.
