Prairie School is great! The teachers are excellent and really bond with the students! The entire staff is very warm and inviting and both of my children feel very at home there. My first grader is excelling in all areas and is reading well above his level and his preschool sister is learning a lot academically and socially from the new state preschool on campus. At a young 3 she is fitting in nicely with the rest of the class, most of which are older than her. We Love Prairie school!
Prairie is an excellent school, with some of the best teacher's in Shasta County. The school is small, so I feel confident that our children aren't lost in the shuffle. My second grader is excelling to her highest potential. The pre-school program has improved so much this year. Prairie has an excellent speech program, which is also offered to pre-schoolers. This program helped my son so much, there are not words to describe my appreciation. The Prarie cross-country team was coached by the school principal/ superintendent, Mr. Rhodes. What a great way to support the children, and develop great realationships with the parents. I highly recommend this school to any parent that want's the best teacher's with small class size's.
The preschool program could be more challenging academically, but did prepare my son from a social skill standpoint for kindergarten. So far, the kindergarten program seems a little slow as well from an academic standpoint.
Both of my kids have attended this school. The teachers do an excellent job of working closely with my kids especially on subjects that they struggle with. They have improved in all areas of their learning. The principle is an excellent leader who has compassion for both the students and their parents. I recommend Prairie Elementary School.
