Wow, I need to add some info to the comments at this site. This week, I attended an oratorical contest sponsored by a local civic organization. I have 2 students at the school. Neither was in the contest by choice however, the number 1 and 2 spots in the competition were taken by Ross. Incredible when you realize that the students beat out others in district and nearby schools that are ranked nationally, like Whitney High School, in the top ten! Kudos to the speech and debate program at Ross and all the teachers there who push our students to greatness!
Contrary to reviews listed here, the teachers are some of the most dedicated I have interacted with. With new technology, teachers are able to keep parents up-to-date with homework assignments, test alerts, grades, et. al. It is amazing that they are able to fit in all the communication that they have with us parents.
Many people want to put there children in the best school they can find. Honestly, parents please examine the school before making the desicion looks can be decieving.
This school is completely disorganized. The teachers are rude although the school has an okay education it need s to be structured correctly before jumping ahead. My children are begging me to go back to their old school honestly, don' t put your children in this school, completely worthless! I'm disappointed and sorry but the word needs to go around about this school
For three years the same teachers do not return calls from parents. They don't really care about the students. They can get away with mediocrity because majority of the students at Faye Ross come from low income families in Artesia and Norwalk. They know that their union gives them job security. The good schools in the ABCUSD are in Cerritos.
Ross is a great school! The new Principal is doing great things to change this school's image. He really cares about the students and staff. My son will be in 8th grade in the fall and I can tell you that the atmosphere completely changed for the better from the beginning of last year to the end of the school year. I am really excited to see what's in store for the upcoming year. The kids seem happy and they all seem to get along well. the teachers are great too. I will admit that there is one or two who take their time returning emails or phone calls but if you let the Principal know, he'll fix it. Also, check out the PTA. This is a group of really dedicated parents who work really hard to make a difference in this school. They meet on the first Thursday of the month.
(: Awesome school! Im an 8th grader there and I can tell u first hand...Its awesome!!!!!!!!!!! I love it
Awsome.........Clean...Safe.........No negatives what so ever! i love ross middle school! racma! ross acamdemy!love it!
Ross is an awesome school. Especially, their art and music programs are terrific. But the basic requirements like English and Math are very treated trivial at Ross. They should stress their students more so that they can be prepared for high school. But the relationships between student and teacher is really good in Ross
I love this school to me it deserves a ten!Its clean safe and the teachers are nice
