All 5 of my children have attended San Benito since 1996. For the most part the teachers are wonderful and caring, the custodian is loving and kind and has been there forever.Until last year this was a great experience for the past year my child has been bullied and the principal is unwilling to do any thing about it.I have emailed her,the school board and the superintendent .There response was to make excuses and basically blame it on my child.I am very concerned as my child now hates school and feels unsafe knowing he will get no help from the principal.San Benito has a zero bullying policy but no one will back it up.
San Benito is a wonderful community based school with very qualified and caring teachers. The principal knows almost all 450 kids by name and the kids really respect and love her. There are many free family programs offered by the PTA such as Donuts with Dad, Muffins with Mom and family Movie or Craft Night. I feel like my kids are very safe at this school and I trust the adults there to take care of and guide my children.
San Benito is great and my kids actually enjoy going to school! So far the teachers have been wonderful.
My children have attended San Benito since the school opened back in 1992. I have had really good teachers for my children. They have all enjoyed this school. The care and support that I have received from the teachers and principals is great. The custodian at this school is awesome. He really enjoys what he does and it shows around the school. He is always picking up trash and keeping the sidewalks free of clutter. I have seen many changes in the staffing with all the budget cuts. San Benito tries hard to keep their teachers. Out of all the schools in this district, I have to say this is the best school.
The principal is very accomodating, and many of the teachers are quite talented and good. There are just a few poor teachers who can't control their classes. But overall, I think the school is quite good as long as you are lucky enough to avoid a poor teacher. (Most of the teachers are excellent.)
