Great Education. This School is the only school in the district with the IB program. So yes this school does offer a great education.

Foothill has a really good program like gate its more challenging and it shows us the students hoq college ot a university is going to be I know because I went to foothill and then I moved to another school and that shafter was way behind from what I had learned in FHS

I currently atten Foothill, and have had very neat experiences. I agree with you David on the fact that it is a culturally diverse school that offers a fantastic education to those who do seek it. This year i have intergrated myself into the International Baccalauerate program. I have to admit im a bit scared at the thought of taking courses that are supposed to be at a college level, but i will not back down and will try my hardest. My goals for the year are to get rid of my weaknesses =)

I am a student at Foothill now and I love it. I have had two principals whom I think are great at what they do. The last few reviews are outdated so please don't be mislead. Foothill is a culturally diverse school that offers a fantastic education to those who seek it.

I am a graduate of Foothill High School from the class of 2005. My first three years as a student there were not that great. I will agree that the principal for those three years was not much of a leader. He was not nearly involved with students and student activities as he should have been. In my senior year as a student there, we received a new principal by the name Mark Richardson. With this man, moral immediately rose at the school. He was not biased when it came to helping out certain clubs, he spread his support throughout the school. I believe Foothill will be getting better over the course of the next few years with him as a leader there. I am now a student at Fresno State and one of the biggest reasons I am there are my friends, teachers, and Mark Richardson.

I have two children that attend foothill high school, one is a freshman and the other is a junior, the junior has attended foothill right from the 9th grade, I feel that if foothill would get rid of its principal it would be a better school cause other then that it is a great school

This school is one of the worst I have ever seen. The principle is a failure and hides from the parents. The office staff is a joke when it comes to helping out the parents. you do not get adults but kids when you need to see someone.

I believe Foothill's abysmal academic achievement scores and sky-high expulsion rate are a direct result of the principal's dismal leadership.

About the tests


In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

The different student groups are identified by the California Department of Education; if there are fewer than 10 students in a particular group in a school, the state doesn't report data for that group.
