I attended Ronald Reagan for seven years. Wouldn't have chosen a different school if I had a choice! Great staff, and the teachers take time to get to know the kids and work with them to succeed as much as they possibly can. Wonderful community and ParentClub!

I can't sing the praises of this school enough!! We came from a less than 1 star school and walking into Reagan was like hearing the Angels sing!! My daughter is a different kid! She loves her school..I love her school! I can't believe how much Parent Club does for the students of Reagan! They are amazing! The Pricipal is wonderful..The office staff really takes the times and cares! I really think it would be hard to find a school that compares to Reagan in Bakersfield or maybe in the state! I would love to move to the NW part of town but just because we could no longer go to Reagan I have to re think it.. Reagan Patriots ROCK!!

Overall my experience with this school has been great with my 2 children. The parent involvement seems to be very important and is a big factor that allows the teacher to focus on the children. Very high recommendations for anyone that may be debating having their children attending there.

Excellent elementary school. My son enjoyed his 3 years in this school. The academic program is revised every other year and I had the opportunity to help at the School District level. The teachers are very friendly and good role models for the kids. We were very please with overall program and the homework load.

We have been involved at 2 other schools in the PBVUSD here in Bakersfield. We are extremely impressed with the level of parent, teacher and administration involvement at Ronald Reagan Elementary. We would not want our children at any other school!

Ronald Reagan Elementary is a great school with fabulous teachers and a curriculum unlike any. The teachers are seriously commited to their students and the parents alike. My three children are a part of the Reagan family,and they will tell anyone who will listen about all the wonderful teachers and programs at school. My kids are challenged every year. They are encouraged to strive for goals they once thought of as impossible. All the while being supported by very talented teachers. The Parent Club is a very active and integral part of this school. Our fundraisers have been used for many benefits to the children. The goal is always to benefit the kids. Parent involvement is welcomed, appreciated and always encouraged both by the Parent Club as well as the teachers and staff. Ronald Reagan is an excellent place for your kids to learn.

We chose our current neighborhood because of the high rating of the school. Overall we are satisfied, although we believe there is a 'hard' edge that is at times quite pronounced, by that we mean the school seems to be all business with little homey feel at all. This is from the administration and from at least two teachers in particular, who showed little empathy to our child as she's progressed through the grades. Our sense, and the teachers agree, is that the school district's--and this school's--response to the recent pressure to raise scores has resulted in a curriculum that is almost too challenging, further feuling the 'hard' edge we referred to earlier.

Ronald Reagan is a fantastic school. The children are relatively well behaved, parent involvement is incredible, and the quality of instructional staff is stellar.
