I recently transferred to the area from an excellent school district in Florida and this school is horrible. The prinicple allows these teachers to act any way that they want and she is also rude and unapproachable. It's so sad that this school has adopted such immature drama and promotes it.

I have to agree with the parent ahead of me. The Prinicpal is very rude at this school. I attened this school as well while I was a child. Now my daughter attends the same school. The prinicpal was a 6th grade teacher at this school when I attened there. She was even rude back then. But I have to say that the teachers that the teachers that my daughter has had so far have been outstanding.

I have 3 children attending Henderson. The enviroment is great for learning, but the parent involvement is lacking. The school and children need support from all parents. In order for the test scores to go up, parents will have to help the children out. Teachers only have the children 6-7 hrs a day, the parent/parents or care provider have them for the remainder of the day. We as care providers have to get involved in our childrens learning. The learning does not stop at home!

A few teachers are inadequate to teach. 60%+ [of students] have to attend summer school. Principal is hostile towards us as parents. I wish we knew the poor state of the Barstow School District before we moved here, as it continues into the High School with 50% graduation rate. That is my experience and opinion. Home school is a definite option if you live in this area.
