The Wheatland Charter Academy is an outstanding place to educate your child. I have two children attending now for 3 and 4 years. It is a K - 5 Montessori program and I am not looking forward to the decision I face once they matriculate to the sixth grade. Mrs Jacklet, the Principal, does an outstanding job developing her staff and truly cares about building a lasting program of excellance not only for the attending children and their parents, but for her dedicated staff. For any parent looking to have their child in a safe, caring, and well run program - look no further than the Wheatland Charter Academy. Private school without the price!

My child attended this school for 4 years (K-2). We have had great wonderful teachers and not so wonderful ones (replaced the next year). As with all schools you get good and bad and I truely feel there is more good than bad here. The teacher/student ratio is exceptional so each student gets one on one instruction and it falls in line with Montessori individualized instruction that best fits your child. Open door policy, The teachers are caring and dedicated and love the kids. There have been recent staff and administration changes as some change is difficult to handle, the Director Mrs. Jackett is working hard to keep the school top of the line. Negatives: Lunch could be improved, Most of the food is prepackaged and while it meets USDA standards it is not the best. Lack of a PE, Art and music teachers are a downer in my book.
