An amazing school with a curriculum to match. Socially, this school is perfect for any child. There is a complete absence of any sort of bullying or misconduct. My child was able to quickly make great friends that are in turn a positive influence on him, which was not the case at the other private schools he previously attended. Academically, The Academy is above and beyond. This is truly a school I expect to produce some of the great minds of our time. Not only are the academics rigorous, but a true sense of the importance of hard work is instilled in each child. As per the staff; the teachers are incredibly responsive to your needs. They are always willing to set up a private meeting to discuss any aspect of your childs education. The administration works very hard to improve the school more and more each year. I am always pleasantly surprised to see some sort of new addition when I return each year after summer. All in all, this school is a true gem in the sea of mediocre schools out there. Thank you The Academy!
The Academy was not a good school for my daughter. She suffer a lot there and I found the teachers are not helpful at all. They preacher kid but not in a helpful way. It was a bad bad choice.
The education is superb! The curriculum is challenging and really pushes my son to learn. I am happy that so many people of different backgrounds attend the school. The parent involvement is wonderful and it is very inclusive. I feel like it is one big family. I recommend this school to everyone.
The Academy has been a great fit for our 2 kids (in K & 4th). The academics are exceptional and the lower school places strong emphasis on obtaining a strong foundation to build upon. The teachers are committed and the diversity, especially for a small school, is wonderful. We initially chose the school for its excellent academics but have stayed for many reasons. The teachers seem happy to be part of the community. The small atmosphere creates a family type of respect for one another. Bullying of any sort is not tolerated. That said, I would advise parents considering The Academy to carefully assess their child. The academics are strong and expectations are high. If you have a child that can't sit still or really hates homework, you may want to shop around for a better fit. That said, I give The Academy a big thumbs up.
Our daughter is in 1st grade, and we all are loving it. The school provides an inclusive, positive environment which fosters respect, curiosity, and interest. High academics then then just naturally happen. We actually were attracted to the school for non-academic social aspects, but are getting a strong preparation for anything that follows second to none as well. Principal and teachers are excellent and they all work on having a great relationships with children and their families. Excellent extracurricular activities for such a small school. We wish there were more schools like this..
The Academy is an amazing school! My daughter attended Kindergarten there and we could not have been happier. She was challenged academically in a nurturing environment. We have since left the area and have not found a school that parallels The Academy. We will not soon forget this special place!
This school is a gem. Its small size makes it a home-away-from-home. The Academy does't seek diversity, it just IS. The traditional academics are top-notch. The kids are well prepared for the best academic high schools.
