Small school with superb teachers. Very mixed group of parents. Berkeley and conservatives, sometimes do not mix well. The children are happy, the classrooms are great.Very well suited for the child who needs extra attention. For the 'sporty child' , lacks an array of sports activities. Have an excellent accelerated reading and math program. Academics are great. Needs a stronger director in place.

I'm a parent a EBSG. This school is critical for your daugters sucess. The idea and concept is prevailed everyday once you leave your daughter with the wonderful staff. This school is ideal for parents that want a stellar education for their girls and a balanced view of the world as well. This school welcomes everyone. The main concept is bringing out the best from your girls and you as a parent. I would highly recommend this school from K-6 grade. I would have to say that the small class size, the focused approach, has brought my daughter at least two grades up from where she was in public school. Yet, she loves going to school, doing the work, and most of all learning how to interact with others, and build strong relationships. The girls are more like sisters and there is a no nonsense way of handling conflict and resolutio.
