bles is a okay school the 5th graders in MRS.tops class where out of controll but, over all there okay the MRS.Pererson is too hard on the kids.
I am very happy with Baldwin Lane. This is our first year and my son is a 5th grader. The staff is wonderful and very nice. The new principal has high hopes and goals for our school. The teachers are great! We may not be able to control ongoing budget cuts but they are doing their very best to keep the kids inspired and motivated. Lokking forward to this year and next!
My child has had exceptional teachers here at Baldwin Lane. Their love for teaching can be seen through my child's enthusiasm for learning each and every year. I have found that the more that I can volunteer at the school, the more I am involved in his education.
baldwin is a great school and the staff is great the teachers are the most wonderful people you could ask for to teach your children, much better then the round school.
Baldwin Lane has been quit a disappointment to me and my family. While it has some quality teachers, most are not.The lack of safety that is provided for the children is also a concern. If I had a choice my children would not attended this school.
What I find is that Baldwin Elementary is a better than average school. As a volunteer, however, I see very little instruction for understanding. Homework consists of fill in the blanks, and busy work with no furthering of knowledge on the part of the students. Assessment tests given only assess one kind of learning. Because of researchers like Howard Gardner, we know that there are many different intelligences. Some children are being left behind for the sake of test scores. Baldwin Lane is definitely a good school, however, I see too many burned out teachers yelling and being sarcastic with students.
Good news: This school has an exceptional academic program. There is outstanding parent participation. Bad news: Traffic control is zeros, more teacher supervision is required - especially the 'screamers'. The school seems more interested in getting the students to school, regardless of their health, than protecting the other students from viruses, etc.
