So far so good with my kids in this school, who are in 1st and K. I have nothing to compare it to and I am not involved other than helping my kids with their homework. It seems to me that my children's kindergarten teacher was as good as they get - it's obvious that her job is not a paycheck thing to her, that she has a passion for teaching little ones. I think there should be more PE - and don't know if they have any PE to be honest with you.

My Kindergarten twins have had wonderful experiences this year. Mrs Davis is truly the best! The staff has been wonderful with my kids. I have always had access to both the teachers and administration if I ever needed it.

Though I rated another Big Bear school badly I'd like to say this is a great school, lots of support for families and all the situations that go along with being a family. Great staff, and the teacher, at least our teacher, was an angel. I reccomend!

Where's the music? This district used to provide K-6 weekly classroom music instruction. Is there value on the arts? However, Ms. Congdon is a great principal who really is there for her students; involved and hands-on, very caring!

Wonderful teachers, inconsistant leadership. Communication is poor with administration and parents. Test scores are improving but enrollment is down. It could be a great school.
