Any school that shows " A Bugs' Life" (film for 4yr olds) to a seventh grade class raises serious doubts. They have also recently passed rules banning hugging of any kind. What exactly does that teach our future generation? Disgusting. The principal tells anyone who disagrees with her to find another school. Not very diplomatic or professional
It has been brought to the attention of the principal that some girls have been bullying a girl and treating her like an outcast. The principal has not taken any action to rectify the situation and agrees that the victim should transfer to another school. How disgraceful that she will do nothing.
The lessons are well below me. I talked to an eighth grader in yearbook, her science assignment was to find shapes in nature! They give you those kinds of assignments in second grade at the charter school i attended before middle school. They had us learning eighth grade math in fith grade there, in history we were up to the 1800's! Major downgrade as far as quality goes.
I just started middle school, and overall the school is pretty good. It has great teachers, good food, and fun sports. The only downpoint is that the 8th graders are mean and rude sometimes.
I have had 3 of my children in Sullivan one has completed their middle school with great results. The second is completing 8th grade this year and my third child is completing 6th grade. They are a very disciplened school with high morals as how children should act towards each other and towards their teachers. They have always helped the kids when needed which is great since so many times kids get lost in the shuffle.
Quality of academic programs has been steadily degrading. There music program has not been consistently supported by a feeder program from the elemetary school so it has suffered to; however the teacher has done great with the tools she has at her disposal and considering the obstacles she faces. The level of parent involvement in 'activities' is excellent. The parent involvement in the classroom is much less than at the elementary school.
I think sullivan middle school is a very nice and well handed school. The teachers there are very prepared and well organized, they are always on time and willing to give anyone another try. Our pricipals at our school are very nice, funny and they make everyone proud. Our saftey at or school is well organized to students and teachers. I think sullivan middle school is one of the best school ive ver been to. Sullivan middle school is a very great school for kids and parents.
