I have emailed, and left several voicemails to teachers regarding my student's progress with no response from the teacher. It is very discouraging when it becomes so difficult to get feedback on your child. Unfortunately not all teachers use the parent connect website, but those who do are normally behind in posting grades. The athletic program is so political and unfair that many good athletes are discouraged from trying out for a team.
I love it the teachers are great and the staff cares! They work to get you ready for college and what you need in your four year plan.
i have two students who attend here and it has some good and bad pointd being a 3 year old school it is georgous! flat screen tv's in every room computer hook up for students clean. but the teachers are just ok , most of the classes are structured like college so you dont get a true high school experence. the school seldom has rallies and poor dance attendence so if you want to have a socal fun time forget it . the principal and leadership is unable or hasnot emplemeted a strong leadership in the school. and students arnt encouraged to think for themselves. as far as some of the equiptment and stuidos its fantastic! but they need to get it together and build a strong high school soon!
I have 2 students at Heritage and both are doing well. They are excelling academically with capable teachers and participating in drama and sports. No school is perfect, but HHS tries to keep academics as a priority. For the students and parents who are involved and supportive of the school programs, the teachers, and coaches, it is a great school.
I am a student at Heritage High. I must say, what they said about the plans for the school intrigued me to the point of enrollment. However, I now regret my actions. Principal leadership is nothing to be proud of. The numerous, disregarding principals care very little for their students. The extracurricular activities are the school's greatest strength. I do find myself asking why so much was spent on such a thing though. Parent communication is hard to achieve. At the same time, they are constantly throwing out report cards, as well as progress reports. It adds up to a lot of stress in life when you have difficult teachers -- or just some bad luck in the start of the first few weeks. Most of the teachers are inexperienced, have language problems, or dislike children that do not see eye-too-eye with them.
Heritage has been a disappointment. I have two children there. communication with teachers are horrible, I feel they ready don't care about the student education. Am on top of my child education and wants to know how they are doing in school & homework.I email make phone calls and most of the time, I have to email twice. teacher are horrible about posting assignments on parent connect, usually they post after the due date. am not the only one that feel this way, I know two other parent has the same problems. Principal for the 10th grade is ridiculous to the students.
So far the school is great! My son is a freshman and a straight A student. The teachers are very good about communication if the parent is persistent. The teachers are also good about posting assignments on the parent connect. I just wish they would switch to a modified block schedule like Freedom High!
This is my sons first year 2006 at Heritage High. I'm so far not impressed with how things get followed through with. If your looking for a great education go to Liberty High school. It not always the look of a school that counts.
I used to be a student at heritage but then I had to move. Overall the school was ok. I mean some of the tachers are good but some really arent concerned about whether you actuall pass the class or not. The coaches for athleticts were ok. The best coach was coach price because he was realy concerned about all the students no matter how good or bad they were. Overall I wouldnt say this school is perfect but its ok.
I'm not a parent, I am also a student at this school and it was the worst year I have ever had. Yes, it is a very pretty school but when the teachers there dont seem to care about students education...It doesnt really matter how pretty the school is. The athletics at the school are ridiculous! There wasnt enough safety and there was way too much disipline and very harsh for doing minor things.
Well Im not a parent, but Im a student here at Hreitage, and I really think its a beautiful school! The teachers I've had are awsome, and for the most part I love it!
