Bristow is an amazing school that has many opportunities for students. There are lots of clubs and sports for students to be involved. The academics are good, the teachers really care about the students. The Leadership class, FOR prigram and other programs like WEB make it close knit campus Amazing school

Teachers here are sincerely dedicated to the success of each and every student. They are very open to communication with parents and will even work after hours for school clubs that they helped students set up. Science, social studies, mathematics teachers are truly wonderful. We were blessed with having one amazing teacher after another throughout our experience at Bristow. The music and choir programs under the tutelage of Mark Morello are phenomenal. Never once has anyone reported a case of bullying in the 3 yrs that my child was there- in part because of wonderful programs such as "Friends of Rachel" (FOR CLUB) and a very close knit, supportive, school environment. There are no "sexting" scandals or drug and alcohol use problems here- as in other local middle schools. We were very fortunate to have had a child go to Bristow Middle School.

Amount of homework: Agree

It may seem like a lot initially, but at this level- it's good prep for high school.

My child, personally, thrived here, more than she ever has at any other school. A constant force in her success was the teacher dedication and involvement. The teachers at Bristow establish themselves as great moral guides and role models. They deserve exceptional praise.

My oldest daughter started here in seventh grade. It's not easy starting anywhere when you are the new kid - especially at this grade level. However, the WEB program really helped her adjust quickly. The teachers are great, the office staff, principal and vice pricipals have all been very accessible and responsive whenever I have sought their assistance. They seem to genuinely care about each student. Just as with any school - private or public, there are going to be issues at times with teachers and students that don't see eye-to-eye. But, the staff has always been helpful whenever I've sought their assistance. My only real issue is that the dress code is not strictly enforced - ie. the girls wear shorts that expose their but cheeks if they bend over. Also, the counselor tends to over-involve herself into students personal lives without proper therapy training - she does more harm than good. As with any school, if you get involved as an active parent, your children and yourself will have better experiences overall.

Bristow is filled with amazing teachers who really provide opportunities for their students from math tutor hours, after school homework-club, after school events ( parrnt info nights, award ceremonies, science fair, spelling bee and dance socials) WEB, Leadership and FOR Club activities. New instant contact email sent home every Monday to keep the parents in the loop. The academics are also top notch and improving all the time. Teachers make contact with parents letting them know when things need to be addressed.

This school is top notch! The extra programs it offers is amazing:Sports, art, music, etc. So many teachers offer programs during lunch and the math program is amazing. Parents and students were givin Math help times where they could simply drop in for help if they need it. Communication is there if parents would take advantage of what is being offered. Great, well rounded school!

My son transferred from Adam's Middle School, which is supposed to be a better school. My experience is that Bristow is the better school. Eventhough Bristow and Adams have appx. the same number of students, Bristow feels smaller and more personal. The Principal and teachers really push academics. The students I have interacted with are very respectful. The teachers are awesome and the Principal is great. Bristow is a good fit for us.

My daughter has been at Bristow for 2 years and we have had great experiences. Their test scores really came up this year and even made it as one of the Top Calif. Schools. Mr. Cornell (Principal) and Mr. Ovick (VP) are caring and so nice. They have many activities for the GATE students which is great! My daughter and I are very happy with Bristow.
