Quality of academic programs are wonderful, and each year they seem to challenge the children even more. There is no music program, very little sports, and other extra activities unless we the parents volunteer. Everything they can get rid of,they have. Level of parental involvement could be better, but is at an all time high because,if we dont volunteer, the kids miss out. The teachers need to pay attention to the problems they are missing like bullying, and racial tensions. In a 1-10 scale, this school earns4
Bridgeport is a great place to raise your children. They say it takes a community/village to raise a child and this town/school is just that.
My daughter has been enrolled in Bridgeport Elementary School for 5 years. All of the teachers are wonderful and enthusiastic. The secretary and bus/janitor administrators are fantastic. The students are sweet and loyal to each other.
