St. Catherine of Siena School

I spent some years there as a teacher (1999-2005) before returning home to Ireland in 2005. I had a great time there, made good friends among the staff there, learned strong discipline as a teacher which has stood to me since and most importantly taught many great kids over the years. I am still in contact with many of them still via Facebook. St. Catherine of Siena is a great school. It certainly benefitted my career back home here in Ireland.

Love this school! All the staff, teachers & parents are friendly. Great academic program! Wonderful school that is very welcoming. In addition, they have an excellent lunch program with convenience online ordering that features a healthy menu plus an after-school daycare if needed. Would highly recommend!

My daughter spent grades K-8th at St. Catherine of Siena and overall the school provided her with exceptional skills in preparation for high school. The academics were strong as well as the spirituality which is highly emphasized and promoted by the nuns and the administration. We chose St. Catherine's for my daughter not only for the academics, foreign language, the arts, but the mere fact that it is one of the few school that actually have nuns who teach the students. This unique experience is one of the values that a student will cherish forever.

We are very happy with our school. The community is great! Yes the homework load is a lot but the kids get thru it and seem to be learning more than the other schools in the area at the same grade levels. The families and staff at this school are the best and we look forward to the rest of our years here...

My son goes to St. Catherine's and we love it! They're strict but loving and warm. There is a lot of homework but my son is thriving. Their emphasis is on education, as that is what the children are there for. The community is warm and friendly and the principal, Sister Antonella, really does a great job in running the school. I would highly recommend St. Catherine's.

Very ridged education and old fashion. Kids given too much homework and dragged from one activity to the next. Students succeed to go on to good high school, but it's a big wonder how.

Great school that has gotten better since the new principal, Sister Antonella, returned. Top flight education, and the cost is a little less than other parochial schools on the Peninsula. We could not be happier with this school. So glad we were able to get our children enrolled.

Great school from the academics to the extracurricular activities. I especially like the option of adding another language to the curriculum (spanish or latin).

I was born and raised in this community and hoped to see my younger siblings do the same. My memories of how this school used to be will be positive ones. However, a new principal and new pastor has changed the dynamics. When I was in the 3rd grade my parents divorced, the school principal, Sister Antonella, helped us make it through this turbulent time. The within two years of the new principal's 'reign', many of the school's less fortunate students have been tossed out. This includes my little brother and sister who were not informed of their need to find a new school only two days before the start of the 2003-2004 school year. What happened to the love and compassion I grew up with? For these 'followers of Christ' to target the less fortunate is the epitome of hypocracy. Send your kids to St. Matt's.
