I have mixed feelings about Burnt Ranch. It is a very small school of 80; K-8 and the teacher to student ratio is wonderful. It is a rural mountain school that is itself its own district. I think that because of this there are not enough checks and balances. This tends to keep the program from being modernized and competetive. Music, and art and gym are offered two times a week and sports are limited. I love the feel of the school because it is so cozy but I do wish that it were more focused as an arts school.
