I am so proud about my relationship with all my teachers, they are like a bigger family to me. I was unwillingly pulled out of the high school by my parents due to family traveling amount. The teachers argued for my case so that I could stay, but it wasn't enough to convince them. I am very welcome and loved when I come to visit, and help out. I am always asked and told that I need to come back and am misses. Even as one of the higher educated ones at the school, everyone knows me and are all very friendly. It is nice to leave and come back after so long and everyone still knows my name.

I have two son's who attend this school. The teachers are concerned about the well being of the students; not only academically but in their activities as well. We, our entire family, loves California City High School.

My son just started this year as a Freshman. So far, I like the teachers from Back to school night. Lots of extra curriculer and different clubs. I like the diversity in this school. My son is happy and that's the most important!

A good school that is just starting out. The student body is small and the students seem to be able to intermingle well together. Could use some 'new blood' brought into the school with fresh new ideals but overall the instruction is pretty decent. As a parent I like the fact that if a child is involved with an extracurricular activity they are required to not only keep up a certain grade point average, but they are required to also attend mandatory after school tutoring. It shows that the student's performances are more important then how they play a sport.

In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.
