I've put all three of my children in this school to learn, have fun and stay healthy. They've all had the same teachers, which I love!! I would suggest this school to anyone that is serious about your child learning manners, eye contact, academics, and socializing. The language structures that my children learn daily, along with reasoning skills, have taught my children how to interact with others in a positive way both at the school and out in public. I'm very proud of what my kids have accomplished at Camarillo Montessori!

My son attended this school for several years. The first year was fine however, the director was not good with children. they wanted my 4 year old boy to sit and do math. They told me there was something wrong with him because he couldn't sit for an extended period of time. Newsflash people "HE IS A BOY" . I then took him to the doctor and he suggested that I switch child care centers. Unless you want your little one to be sent home with weekly packets of homework and be called constantly to come pick up your child, I would not recommend this place. After voicing my concerns to a few other parents, I found out that I wasn't alone.

THE KS CLASS IS DEVOTED TO THE TRADITIONAL MONTESSORI METHODS USED BY AN EXPERIENCED TRAINED MONTESSORI TEACHER, THE CHILDREN SEEM TO THRIVE AS THEY BECOME INDEPENDANT TO WORK TOWARDS LEARNING. GREAT ENVIRONMENT RICH WITH SUPPLIES.

Preschool is ok, but the k class teaching is bad, not Montessori teaching at all, the pre k staff are nice and will take good care of the children, the children are afraid of the principal, it would be a good school if they replace her with someone who likes and cares for children, likewise the present teacher.

CPMS is, in my opinion, a top-rate school. My oldest daughter graduated last year with a kindergarten education, and she was only about to enter kindergarten. My younger daughter is currently attending Montessori and my youngest will attend there in the fall. I suggest all prospective parents read the Maria Montessori teaching philosophy and make sure that it coincides with your own beliefs and expectations of your child's education. Montessori is a very structured school and focuses on practical and cognitive skills as well as traditional "textbook" education. However, they are anything but ordinary. The teachers and staff there are wonderful and the pricing is very competitive. I highly recommend this school - you will not be disappointed!

Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
