I am graduating this year. Threw my 3 years at Camerado I thought it was amazing! The teachers make sure you learn everything you need to, they are always helping you and always make sure you know what there talking about. They have a wonderful band, the teacher is absolutely amazing...sure some students can takethe teachers as "harsh" or "pushy, annoying" things along those lines....but those are particualrily the children that don't enjoy learning or despise school with a firey passion...over my 3 years here, looking back, I wound never choose a different school..it is simple amazing! They also have a geat deal of other extra crecualr classes such as wook shop, Art, Spanish & Leadership.
i do not like this school. the administration is not very good and the teachers are very hard. they expect too much from the students. the yard duties are cruel.
The school offers many reward programs and positive reinforcements to motivate students. There are also many incredible staff members that inspire learning to all ends of the spectrum...appropriate placement for stuggling students and a strong push for the higher achievers. I have two children with completely different needs attending and both have been very happy at Camerado.
The school does have a good music program and some great teachers, but I would not recommend it. There is way too much homework, and students and teachers at other schools see it as a "bad" school, which unfortunately is partly true. Some of the teachers need to realize that this is a middle school, not a high school. School leadership is great, and extra- curricular activites are excellent. There is almost no GATE program, however.
My child is a 6th grader this year. Yes, they have a great music program with an excellent teacher. They do have some caring, inspiring teachers. However, the culture of the school is basically that the kids are 'bad' until they prove otherwise. The students receive a ridiculous amount of homework. My daughter is a straight A student, but feels like she has lost her childhood. She averages 1-3 hours of homework a night & they assign homework on weekends.
This school is making a comeback with a great music program and solid teachers leading the way
I love this school and the wonderful office staff!! The majority of teachers are awesome!! Best school around here that's for sure!!!!
This is my second year at this school and I love it! The teachers are great, the students are great.. It's a really good school. And I'm not just saying that because I go there. Haha!
We have been at this school for two years so far, and have had a great experience with the teachers, staff and students. I am impressed with the respect MOST of the students have for the teachers and classmates. The secretaries are awesome also along with the Principal. Highly recommend this school to anyone.
