My son was at a very high performing API school, but after touring the campus at Ingenium and seeing the children in the classroom I enrolled my son this year in second grade/level 2. The experience has been nothing short of amazing! I am so very lucky my son is a part of the Ingenium family. His teacher is superb, always available and has a handle on every one of her students learning styles so they not only excel, but are happy. My son loves learning and this was simply not the case last year. There is no ceiling on what he can learn. He completed his state proficiency in level 2 math a month ago and is now learning at a 3rd grade level. He needed reading help and has received it in the classroom. I asked if I could have a tutor twice a week to come during after care (his other school did not allow it!) They were happy to allow me to do this for him without hesitation. This school put's the children first and is very innovative in teaching to the style of each child. My son is now a life long learner.....homework is done without any issue because the after school program which is the best he has ever attended sets the structure for kids to get it done. Just a great school!
Ingenium Charter School is an awesome school that has an excellent after school program. It's all about the kids here, don't have to worry about all the drama that goes on in most schools. The principal and teachers are young, well educated, and have fresh and innovative ways on teaching children to learn at their highest competency. The best part is that it's a genuinely caring school and you can see that the students really enjoy learning and going to school here.
This school is a gem! I worried that because my child could already read, she would get bored in a standard kindergarten curriculum. She did, but instead wasting an entire year, at Ingenium, she was "leveled" up to level 1, where her focus & love of learning returned immediately. By the end of her first "kindergarten" year, her class was well into the 2nd grade curriculum, and loving it! There is no "pressure" to learn or pass tests, rather, the learning is motivated by the kids, who learn to take charge, and set their own learning goals! The principle is AMAZING and so proactive! She strongly believes in developing "whole child". They have holiday shows, a dedicated hands on science lab, (neglected by most elementary schools I've learned), extracurriculars like chess class/club, "girls on the run" to build self esteem & confidence, Spanish & mandarin classes coming soon, and more (anything that benefits the kids is welcome). There s a garden grant, free breakfasts every morning, and an excellent after school enrichment program that I have to PRY my child away from. All the teachers and staff are extremely dedicated and talented. We are so lucky to have found this school!
I have 3 children in this school and I am very glad. They really care about the students. The teachers and the staff are very accessible and kind. I love the motto "college starts here" and the philosophy about "the students have to be responsible (according with their age) and be in charge of their education". Good academic level, activities, nice and relaxed environment and no bullying issues. I highly recommend this school.
This is a great school we have been there for one year and it is now enrolling students for the second the teachers are great always available for the parents and teachers. They have an open door policy and my son who is not going to third great made tremendous academic acomplishment this year. I have no enrolled my other son who will be starting kinder this year. The principal of the school is always available for both parents and teachers and this is trully a family oriented school
