My son has attended St Patricks since kindergarten and is now in the third grade. Every year I ask him if he wants to continue his education there or attend onother school in the area and every year he chooses St Patricks. Very telling in my opinion...
It's not really a Christ centered school, just a private school. Do not recommend if you are looking for a religious education.
St.Pats has always given my children a very loving and Christ- Centered area to learn. They have EXCELLENT teachers and a great Student Government ( ASB). My child is in his last year, his 8th grade year and has loved his schooling at St. Patrick Catholic School.
OMG. Kids break bones here, and the bitter lunch ladies do nothing for the child, and the 1st grade teacher is so clueless, that she doesn't realize the 7 year old little kid has a BROKEN ARM. Don't have your child attend this school unless you want her to be around uncaring beasts.
I have been very happy with St. Patrick School. One of my kids has graduated from St. Patrick's and gone on to high school very prepared for the acedemics. My kids are receiving a strong moral and catholic education as well. It's more like a family atmosphere than a school. Everyone comes together when any family experiences a crisis. It's a beautiful environment. My kids never dealt with bullying at St.Pats. If there was unkind behavior it was nipped in the bud. In my experience, the few kids who claimed to be treated unkindly by classmates and left the school ended up BEING the students who were being unkind to other kids. The parents were snowed by them. That's my experience. I must say that no matter where you go you will have a teacher who doesn't fit you child along the way, another student you're child doesn't get along with, and a class that your child doesn't do well in. Everyone needs to find a good fit for their own family wherever that is. But, when considering a school, check it out for yourself before just taking someone elses opinion
This is our fourth year at St. Patricks and our children are thriving. The teachers are amazing and the families really care for one another. Every school has issues, but I have always taken them to the teacher or the administration and have been pleased with the response. Academically, these students go on to Cathedral Catholic and Carlsbad High School continuing to excel in honors classes. The bar is raised high and students are expected to reach it. This school provides a wonderful Catholic Education and cares for all students. As a military family we are pleased at how we were welcomed on day one and how our children never felt like the new kids. Be an involved parent/family and you will not be disappointed.
Considerably better than the public schools in the area, especially Kelly Elementary School. Has an impressive computer lab and a second language is introduced in Kindergarten. Prospective parents consider that security at St. Pats is better than many of the local schools including Kelly Elementary.
Simply Amazing is all I can say about this school!!!!!!
In response to people leaving the school because of tough academics; I am sure this is the reason for some, however we have seen several families leave because of poor leadership, and lack of Catholic Values. As with any school, some teachers are tough while others are easy.
All my children went to St. Patrick School. We tried a public school first and there is no comparison. The loving atmosphere, rigorous academics, strong sense of community and family are all very evident at St. Patricks. You will love this school!
