My son is part of their ICAP program. In my opinion it is the best special ED program LA Unified has. I know there is an excellent magnet at the school and great parent involvement. I've have ovserved school activities and I speak with office staff routinely . They have a great staff, courteous kids, and a priority of providing a safe enviroment for their students.

My son just completed his kindergarten year at Ambler. The school is under the leadership of Mrs. Ellis who does an outstanding job of setting the tone and spirit of academic excellence for Ambler. The kinder teaching team is AWESOME! Mrs. Nakata, Ms. Harris, and Ms. Veceles are all very committed and dedicated to helping each child develop to his/her fullest potential. My son is very bright and I had concerns that he may not be challenged enough. The kinder team did a great job of dividing the students based on ability and meeting each child at his/her point of need. I highly recommend Ambler Elementary Gifted and Magnet School.

I have a son and daughter in Ambler. In my opinion, it is the best public school in the area. Doubt me? Take a look at the test scores for these kids at Ambler. The proof is in the figures, this is a great school indeed!

This is high quality teaching for my child. She is eager to learn from her teacher and learn music. Spelling and reading are the subject she love. All of her teacher really are great.

I think Ambler Avenue school is a great school. The new principle is well qualified and I see positive changes since she came aboard. Ambler has a lot of potential.

My daughter has been at this school since pre-k, she is now in the 5th grade. I have had many ups and downs with the classes she has been in. My experience has been the magnet classes get more attention the the regular classes. I feel the school focuses on the yearly tests given rather than learning the basics. If a child is not doing well in a particular subject, they do not offer any classroom assistance to help the child stay on grade level with the subject. The homework club is a joke, no one on assistance! Ambler needs to slow down in the class rooms. They have way to many children in each class also.
