I personally think that my school is great, it's got a wonderful music program, involved teachers and fun year round activities. Everyone finds something they like there. The newly remodeled gym and locker rooms look great and so do the new classrooms. I love it at Canyon and i have to say, it's been the best 3 years of my life,...so far.

Canyon rocks - a creek, huge fields, awesome staff, the lake down the hill, the big garden, the sport program, motivated students.

Canyon is the best school my child has ever attended. It has a gym which is really nice. The programs are great, they have both after school and lunchtime activities. The music program is outstanding. Only problem is the traffic, but that can be tolerated.

Castro Valley has the best music program in the area. Canyon is a model for all schools in this respect. Many, many activities, both during and after school. Since it used to be a high school, it has a largy gym as well as a cafe. I've had two students there, and another will start next year. So far so good.

Better traffic control for morning drop -off. The traffic congestion is extremely poor. It's bad for parents dropping off their children as well as the neighborhood. It's a traffic nightmare for anyone living by, trying to get by, or parents dropping off their student. One suggestion, Change the start times. Have 7th grade start 15 minutes before 8th grade. Or something like that.
