Congrats to The Walter White staff for getting a similar schools ranking of a "10" this year!! Not an easy task. So many great things happening at Walter White!

I would,nevet recomend this school for any child my son was so bullied that he did not like school he was bullied by the children staff and the vice princable so no I would not recomend this bully supporting school

Horrible Horrible school doesnt address bullying my son had a horrible year here. He is having such a better school year at a school that cares about there students well being!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wouldnt recommend sending your child here.

Walter White is a great school. I was sad to learn that Mrs. Pyatt has moved on as I really wanted my daughter to be in her 5th Grade class as she is excellent teacher. Mrs Brite is a great teacher also I am very fond of her.The school is old and falling to bits but on the whole the teachers are excellent and do what is right for the kids.

Walter White has been a great school and my children have enjoyed and learned so many new things. The teachers and the staff have been excellent. My children love Walter White School and continue to be exited to attend school every day.

Walter white is an awesome school with great teachers, staff, and administrators. The students are working hard on their reading and writing skills everyday. I think it is the best school in california!

I found that academic extra curricular activities were very few and parent involvement was, for lack of a better word, minimal. School assemblies were disorganized and ill attended. I did not realize it until after moving into the Sylvan School district where I found the teachers and staff alike to be warm and genuinely interested in each and every student. My son is above average in grade level so the what this school lacked was not detrimental to his education.

I think Walter White is a wonderful school. The teachers are patient and truly care about their students. Also, I have yet to meet any staff that didn't care about the students, the school, the parents or the community.

I just moved to the area and it seems that school is clean and organized..however...the office staff at times seems very short and uninterested in concerns that I have had. They also at times seem like the dont want to be 'bothered' with the parents/ gaurdians.

I have been very fortunate to have my son (Kindergarten) be taught by a teacher who genuinely cares so much about his progress. I am glad I know first hand about the kind of teaching that is taught and kind of care given to students from Walter White.

I have two children that attend Walter White and the overall experience is ok. However, I think that with the school being a year round school that the students should get 'homework' to do on the months that the students are out. This way it will keep the students on track and they wont lose any ground. It will also leave less that they will have to review when they get back to school. I would like to see the school adopt the magnet program. When my kids were involved in the magnet program in Bakersfield they seemed more interested in what was going on and was excited to go to school. I have seen a lack of interest in school by my kids now. The schedule with the magnet program may seem ruff but it sure helps kids off the streets and focused on what is going on.

I was cynical of the public schools in our area, to my delight I have been pleasantly surprised with the Walter Whites Teachers and Administration. I have found that test scores do not measure the available resources and education but the lack of parental interest and involvement in the education of their children. Scores are also skewed by the high number of English language learners who are required to take tests at grade level regardless of level of English mastery.

I didn't appreciate the fact that my 3rd grade daughter was put into a combonation class with 2nd graders...I was not aware of this until the night of open house...I later asked her teacher about it and she said they were going to hire another 2nd grade teacher..The gripe I had was that I was not informed of this and was not given the opportunity to choose otherwise..They did hire another teacher...
