My family has been with CHA for 11 years. I have a 3rd grader, a 7th grader and a graduate who is now a sophomore at Notre Dame HS. During our initial school tours over a decade ago, my wife and I fell in love with the school. With an amazing 16 acre campus, an extraordinary program, and the absolute best faculty in the Valley, CHA far exceed our expectations. The teachers are the heart and soul of the school. They give each student individualized attention, and academic and emotional support from pre-school through middle school. Each child learns and exhibits the core values of respect, integrity, friendship and citizenship, and enters high school with experience and confidence beyond their peers. With my family's experience, I can testify to CHA s tradition of excellence and achievement. The new headmaster has brought another level of enthusiasm, and is leading the school through another stage of growth. There is no better program in the Valley - you must come see for yourself!

This is our 4th year at CHA and this school continues to get better every year. With a new head and many new teachers, CHA is better than ever!! The head of lower school is approachable, eager to please and fantastic with the kids. The 2nd grade teacher is lively, smart and a great role model. The 5th grade teacher is worth every cent of tuition. She goes above and beyond for the students. The teachers are creative and engaging. The administration cares for their students and families. The culture is warm, safe and inviting.

I have had three children graduate from CHA. They were completely prepared for high school and we had a wonderful experience. All the teachers knew my children and were always there for them. We were embraced by other parents and I truly felt part of a community. The campus is set in a beautiful area and I have always felt that CHA is a safe place tucked away in a beautiful part of the valley. It is a wonderful school!

I can't praise CHA enough. The teachers are warm, caring, smart and dedicated to the success of the students. I have seen teachers go above and beyond to provide outstanding care for the students (again and again.) Your child will grow and develop in ways you never imagined. The small and nurturing environment is beneficial to the entire family. The campus is warm, inviting and close to nature. This school money well spent. Children are happy when you walk the campus, teachers know every student, every parent and the CHA community is icing on the cake. Parents that care deeply for the school, teachers and student body. Highly recommended!

What a privilege it is to come to work each day an interact with the wonderful students and families of Chatsworth Hills Academy! CHA is truly the school of opportunity! Every staff member is fully invested in the success of each child on campus. Our beautiful 16-acre campus provides a unique outdoor learning environment. Teachers utilize the Chumash Indian artifacts on campus to bring the social studies curriculum to life. During science, the student explore the diverse features of our Mediterranean Biome. Not only am I a teacher at CHA, but I am also a parent. My son has recently joined the preschool and I couldn't be happier with his experience. He loves coming to school each day and is very excited about all he is learning!

CHA provides our children with way more than just an academic education - the arts, language, computers, sports, and social programs are FANTASTIC and have made such a difference in our lives. Since starting at CHA, our once-shy (borderline socially awkward) son has blossomed into an outgoing, highly-social, and confident little boy, and we credit the school's warm, comforting environment for this positive change. We cannot imagine sending our three children anywhere else at this critical stage in their development. THANK YOU, CHA!!!!

My daughter has been at this school for less than a year and we know this is where we want her to be for as long as she can be. The school facilities are excellent and always being improved. The campus is so natural and yet works completely for the kids. The faculty are easy to talk to, so very friendly and all knew my daughter's name before we had been there for a week. My daughter has learned so much - in academic skills, in social skills, in attitude, in behavior. We cannot say enough good things about this school.

I am so happy I found CHA! More importantly, my children are happy. We've been at CHA for 6 years now and though we've always loved it, I don't think I truly understood its true value until my daughter started high school this year. She is thriving and much of this is due to how well CHA prepared her academically, socially and emotionally. There is no question that my two younger children will continue at CHA where they are encouraged, challenged, supported and cheered for in every possibly way. Located on 16 lush acres, CHA offers top notch academics in a safe, secure setting. Class sizes are small and you will never meet a more caring group of teachers. In addition to specialists in art, music, foreign language, technology and PE, CHA has incredible electives for the older students including mock trial, archaeology, robotics, and more. The community is warm, child centered, diverse and down to earth. We couldn't have asked for a better place for us and for our children.

As a CHA alumnus, I know firsthand that no school can boast of more dedicated teachers or a friendlier, more tightly knit community. There is no way to avoid befriending every single student and staff member on campus. I am still in touch with many of my CHA classmates. Thanks to the small class sizes and these close friendships, CHA students are never afraid to speak their minds in public. This is a valuable, often underestimated skill that is useful both at school and in the business world. The teachers make a special effort for each and every child in their classrooms, tutoring those who need it and deepening the curriculum for advanced learners. Middle school students participate in many exciting opportunities through such electives as drama, video game creation, Mock Trial, and archaeology, in which they assist college students in uncovering real ancient Chumash artifacts on our own campus. Thanks to my CHA education, I started my freshman year of high school ahead of many other honors students in a variety of subjects. I was given the confidence, self-motivation, and love for learning that will allow me to succeed in life.

We had no idea that a school like CHA existed until we toured the lovely campus. One of the best choices we made was pulling our child out of a blue ribbon LVUSD school to CHA. CHA changed everything for our family. The teachers are outstanding and care so much for the students. Our child is able to learn outside of the box and excel in so many areas (that never would have been possible in a public school.) The community at CHA is very welcoming. The school has many events throughout the year that bring together students, faculty and parents. If you are looking for a school, please tour this amazing spot!!

Amazing school located on 16+ acres. The campus is tucked away and offers a peaceful, camp-like setting. My two children have attended CHA for the last three years and absolutely love it! The teachers are outstanding and genuinely care about their students. CHA provides all of the specialist programs that can get cut from public schools - PE, Music, Art, Spanish, Computer lab etc. The academic program is top notch and class sizes are small. CHA focuses on character development and nurturing each child so they graduate from CHA confident, well-rounded and ready to start high school. CHA also has a wonderful community of families. It is a small school so the kids know each other and most of the parents know each other as well. If you are considering private school you must take a tour of CHA and see for yourself!

We have 3 kids that have graduated from this school and have gone on to Sierra Canyon High School. We are extremely happy with this school. It is a great setting, students are always friendly to each other and the teachers are great. There are many parents that are involved in helping the school, so it just shows how much everyone believes in their child's education and experience. After my daughter and sons graduated and started high school, a couple of things proved to me that Chatsworth Hills Academy really prepared them well. Both of my kids took command of picking their classes, when they needed to make changes they did it all by themselves. They were responsible and confident. My daughter was even signing up for team sports. Basically, they were turning into adults that my wife and I could be very proud of. We know it was from the education and experiences that they had at CHA that made them prepared for the challenges of High School. Now my daughter and one son have graduated HS and now have gone off to College. They are doing great and I still have to attribute their good character and academic skills to CHA.

WE LOVE CHA!!! You MUST see this 35+ year old school on acres of rolling hills to believe it! It is as if you have stepped out of the city and into a warm, small, protected town where everyone knows one another and where teachers know your child so well that they take pride in every accomplishment just like you do! This is the way that kids should grow up with lots of encouragement, challenge, empowerment and opportunity.

The first thing that caught my eye 5 years ago was all the beautiful trees and land surrounding the campus. Definitely not your regular school campus look. The teachers and staff are dedicated in providing the best education to the children. Made me feel like I was family and not just some parent. My kids feel safe and look forwarding to going to school everyday. I highly recommend this school to everyone!

Chatsworth Hills Academy is a small school with a big heart. If you are looking for a nurturing environment for your child, take a tour of the campus. Talk to the Staff, they really care about the students. The word of mouth of this school is very positive. When I was searching for schools I had 5 criteria for my child: Small Class Size, small learning groups, Social Skills curriculum, Music Program and a place where his strengths would be built upon. CHA offers my son a strong sense of self. He has been at CHA for 2 years, he says he feels like a 'celebrity' because 'everyone knows his name'. Every staff member looks at for every child. The older kids look after the younger kids. The curriculum cares about the whole child. My husband and I are strong supporters of CHA because CHA supports our child.

We are new to CHA, and I have to say that I have been impressed by the genuine care and concern that the teaching staff shows for the children. My son is in Pre-K, and his teacher is absolutely fabulous. She is the kind of teacher that you read about in story books or that a parent dreams that they may find for their child. The campus is quiet and feels like a summer camp. While I think the facilities could use an upgrade, I treasure how involved and warm the entire student community is. The older children nurture the younger ones, and there is a visceral sense of pride and joy when you walk on the grounds and through the classrooms. My son is highly gifted, so I have reached out to the teachers about supplementing his education, and they are open and helpful in working to meet his needs. I think this is something that I would need to do at any school my son would attend. All in all, CHA is a hidden gem, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nurturing environment with personal attention and an amazing teaching staff.

Chatsworth Hills is a fabulous school. The teachers and administration are the key to this very special school. Our child is given one-on-one attention. The care and nurturing that is given by the teachers is beyond what we had hoped for. The parents are down to earth and you are made to feel "at home" very quickly. CHA's small environment allows for tremendous care and attention to your child. I can't say enough about CHA!

My daughter has attended CHA for 2 years and there could be no better place! She loves her teachers like family and she has made truly meaningful friendships. The small populations allows for every student to get to know each other, no matter the age difference. The older students take the younger students under their wings and make them feel welcomed. And each member of the faculty know the kids school wide. My daughter excels in academics far beyond her peers which attend less student focused schools. You would be misguided not to take a look at CHA! They have everything a parent wants out of a school!

My wife and I had done quite a bit of searching for elementary schools across the Valley (everything from the local public school to charter schools, to private) before coming to CHA. All it took was one visit to the campus of CHA to know we had found the right fit. Not only is the campus amazingly beautiful and serene, the administration and kids themselves go out of their way to make you feel at home. Both of our children (grades 1 and pre K) are attending the school and LOVE it! We are looking forward to the next phase when the CHA campus will evolve with a new design that incorporates all the best elements of the surrounding environment while providing 21st century facilities for learning. I can't say enough about this school!

Our child has attended 2 Summer camps and preschool here - so far. We are extremely happy with the staff, curriculum, fellow students and parents at CHA. We really like the small class sizes which allow the teachers to address each child's individual style of learning. We cherish the teachers who have worked with our child as outstanding educators as well as stellar human beings. The campus is absolutely beautiful and conducive to connecting with nature. Our child LOVES going to school! We are looking forward to 8 more years here!!

The parents that stated bullying is happening at this school is SO NOT CORRECT. My daughter has been a student here for three years ago and a student was expelled right away for bullying. Unfounded claims not true. This is a beautiful school with amazing teachers. You can feel safe and know that your child can get accepted to any high school of there choice coming out of this school. My daughter is going into 7th grade and it is just AMAZING.

CHA remains the perfect choice for our family. Our kids have been there since pre-K, and our experience has been outstanding. The small class size, and direct teacher involvement just aren't available in other places at any price. When your kids would rather be in session instead of on vacation, you know you've found the right fit.

Similar events happened to one of my neighbors' kids where they were bullied by a student, and the staff and teachers looked the other way to deny it happened. This place is big on denial. they want to get rid of the good kids and keep the bullies there. The parents who speak out are silenced and outsted. There is an omnipresence and an underlying tension within the inner-sanctum of the school.

What a beautiful campus! The school itself was very good. My son's teachers were great with the exception of one. There was great variety in the subjects at all grade levels. My only problem (and the reason we left) was that my son was bullied and I felt my concern was not taken seriously.

I love this school! The BEST part is that my son LOVES the school too! I really feel like they care abut the kids that go there and do everything in their power to make sure the kids succeed. The campus feels like a park, camping experience. The children become more in tune with their environment here and appreciate everything in it. The staff and children there all are so respectful and make you feel like a part of the 'family'!

This is an amazing school. I just started working here in January. I was immediatly accepted into thier school family by my fellow staff members and students. I have worked at several schools and this one has the best students. They are very brite, creative, outgoing, and respectful. If I had children of my own this is where I would send them. The campus is very beautiful and the class sizes are small. The students get alot of one on one attention. You should check it out.

Great school! I strongly encourage other parents who are looking for a school to attend to. This is a great environment with teachers who realize it's all about the kids attending the school. If you feel like you have failed to achieve a task, the teachers are there for you and help in any ways the can. Overall great school!

Great setting for a school. Tucked back into the hills it looks more like a park than a school. Administration is great, and very involved in everyday activities. Parent participation is very high. The teachers seem to really enjoy their jobs. We're getting ready to start our 4th year. I would highly recommend the school.

CHA is a very good school. Small class size, no religious affiliation. My child has attended Preschool, Kindergarten and 1st grade and has received a very broad education thus far. They have music, art and even attend a science class in a science lab weekly beginning in Kindergarten. The school offers after school enrichment classes and also provide extended day care. The campus is on over 15 acres of proteceted Indian land, which makes for a beautiful campus. Also, since it is a small school, there is a very close knit feeling amond the families with children attending the school.

I took a tour of this school the other day during school hours and found both the campus and the admissions director charming and friendly. I was struck by the beauty of the campus, it's rolling hills, and it's lush, natural state. The classrooms were richly decorated and felt like places abuzz with happy, creative children. The modular bungalows did feel a bit 'temporary' but I've learned that this is a condition of using this former Chumash Indian campground. It's clear that the parents are extremely involved and supportive of the school and I'm learning that the school's academic reputation is very high.

CHA is a very nurturing environment for elementary school children. The academic program at CHA challenges the students and adequately prepares them for middle school. The class size is small, and the children are nice, polite, well-adjusted kids. The faculty is truly wonderful, giving individual attention to each child. The school offers many enrichment classes, Spanish, Music, Art, Science lab, Computers, and P.E.. The campus is 16 beautiful acres in the hills of Chatsworth - a great place to spend your days. Parental involvment is encouraged, but not required. CHA is an upschale private school, without the upscale attitude.

The Pre-K teachers are the most caring and attentive . The class set-up is ideal for learning and interaction. The teachers are very good at communicating with the parents and reaaly seem to care about the children.. Everybody at the school knows the children, and that makes the campus feel very secure.

We have two boys at this school and they are doing great. The school is on a beautiful campus in the Chatsworth foothills and it does not seem at all like they're in Los Angeles. The teachers are wonderful and devoted to helping the kids learn and the academic program is really strong. When we picked a school, we were concerned about the strength of the academic program and the 'feel' of the campus. We were very impressed by those things at CHA. But, what we didn't realize at first (our kids where in preschool when they started at CHA), was that our kids would get such a firm moral base at this school. CHA is not a religious school, but the people there, the teachers, administrators and other parents, are just such decent people that the kids can't help but become decent people too. I can't recommend this school enough.

This school has an interesting mix of parents and students, not as narrow as you might expect from the fee level charged. Academics are good, sports are good, discipline and behavior are good - a bit more emphasis on the arts would be welcome but overall, a good experience.

The teachers are extraordinarily talented and devoted. The administration and faculty are very approachable and easy to communicate with. Integrated visual, auditory, and kinesthetic teaching styles insure that every child performs to his/her highest ability. You have to see it to believe it! C.H.A. creates fulfilled families socially, morally, and academically; yes, I mean the whole family. Our child has fun learning, and wonderful friends. She has a rock solid foundation, strong character, great attitude about learning, and is well prepared for high school. The other kids are great; the kind you want for your child s friend or babysitter. What more could a parent ask for? It wasn t always easy, but C.H.A. was committed to her and us. We definitely got our moneys worth! It s the best-kept secret in the Valley. Check it out for yourself! And no, I don t work there and wasn t paid to write this. They earned the praise!

We have been at this school for MANY years & I could not imagine sending my kids anywhere else. Nothing in life is perfect, including schools, however, my kids are doing terrific socially, academically & in being just generally 'good people'. I firmly believe that CHA has helped in their developement. The school truly tries to help all children reach their full potential, whether they are intelectually gifted, average or if they need extra help.
