I could not be happier with Chico Christian School. My daughter started attending Chico Christian Preschool the day she turned 2. We were so impressed with the staff and the education she was getting that we decided to continue her at the school. She is now in 2nd grade and I can say that I have been thankful every day for my choice. While public schools are cutting electives, CCS is always adding new ones. The teachers and the principal are remarkable. They are all warm, approachable, and truly care for the students and their families. I am impressed regularly with the service projects available to the students. My daughter only benefits from the joy of helping others. We are not a very religious family, and even though it is a Christian school, I do not feel that it is forced upon us. Yes it is part of the curriculum, but they present it in a way that is accepting instead of judging. Not once have I felt l uncomfortable with what was being taught, nor have I felt like we were judged for not going to church. I would highly recommend CCS!
My son has been attending CCS since second grade and he will be going into 7th this year. When I was researching different schools, I was most impressed with CCS's electives. Their technology class is top knotch. What the kids end up knowing by the time they leave CCS will blow your mind! Not to mention all the other electives, on top of the EXCELLENT curriculum they provide. The teachers are loving and truly care. The class sizes are small (avg 20 students). Due to all the California cutbacks as well as a million other reasons, there is no way I would consider putting my child anywhere else than CCS.
My son, who is in the 6th grade now, has been attending Chico Christian since pre-school, and we could not be more blessed!! The teachers and staff are wonderful and so willing in every area to ensure a partnershiip with the parents and their children. My son also does very well academically. CCS provides the state standards, but also goes beyond that to ensure a successful student for high school. I cannot think of one area that I am not pleased with! I LOVE this school, the staff, and all the academics that are offered. We just wish it continued on to high school!!
Chico Christian School has excellent teachers and dedicated staff. All teachers are credentialed and their of love children and teaching is evident on a daily basis. My son has not only received a top-notch education he has had the opportunity to develop his character and practice his talents. CCS offers something for everybody: technology, performing arts, sports, fine arts, in addition to the basics of reading, writing, math, social studies, and science. All of this with a committment to excellence and educating the whole child. The level of parental involvement is amazing and CCS goes above and beyond to meet the individual needs of each student attending the school. I love that the students also provide support to the Chico community and beyond whether it is singing at an assisted living facility, donating books to those less fortunate, providing food for the homeless, supporting missionaries, or sending shoes to Mexico these students really are a reflection of the character traits and values that are modeled and encouraged everyday!
My children love Chico Christian, and so do I. It's a wonderful place! We came here two years ago and received a very warm welcome from the staff and the other families. The teachers are friendly and approachable and are good role models and mentors for my childen. My children are doing well academicaly and are growing spiritually. The principal is very caring and wise and is actively involved in the school. The principal has been involved in several difficult situations involving my children, and she has done a great job of handling them. It is evident that the principal and her staff care deeply for children and they have created a healthy and supportive learning environment for kids to succeed. We feel very thankful to be able to attend Chico Christian - I highly recommend it!
I searched my area over in choosing the best school for my then 5 year-old, kindergarten ready child (who is now in 4th grade). I went to every private school and one charter school in my area and none of them compared to the excellence at Chico Christian School. What impressed me most was the technology department, broadcasting news station, drama department, music department, PE and sports programs, elective programs, not to mention the beautiful, 32 acre, fenced campus etc. While public schools cut these essentials out, Chico Christian School provides my son and everyone with amazing academic, social, physical and spiritual opportunities. All the teachers are credentialed and all the teachers are whole-heartedly interested in each student's individual needs. I am convinced that Chico Christian School is the best education for my son money can buy. He has been there for the past five years and i intend for him to graduate 8th grade from CCS. PS Bev Landers is the most amazing school principal I have ever met and the kids LOVE her!
I LOVE this school. I can't say enough wonderful things about it. I've never heard anything but wonderful things from people who have kids who have graduated from here and whose kids are still attending. Great teachers who care and listen, great leadership, great parents, great kids, wonderful atmosphere, great electives. I love knowing the values that I teach at home are being reinforced at school. I love that my children's education isn't bound by what politicians deem important. I love the elective choices and variety of educational opportunities other than just math and reading/writing. I love how much involvement I can have. My only complaint is they stop at 8th grade. I would love to see them continue through high school.
My son has been attending CCS since Kindergarten. Their motto is educating the whole child and they certainly fulfill this statement. All of the teachers are credentialed and extremely dedicated. The principal is one of a kind and goes above and beyond to make CCS shine on a daily basis. My son and our family are truly blessed by the opportunity to attend such an awesome school.
My children went to chico christian and i was extremely dissapointed with the teachers. They would not do the little things to keep my children interested
I am a grandparent of a student at Chico Christian School and all of my children also attended there. I have been delighted with the level of excellence that is displayed in everything they do at CCS, and the dedication of the staff. they also offer more services than any public school in the area, and offer a rich variety of elective classes that my grand child loves! I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants their children or grandchildren to be well rounded and strong in their faith.
