Loving Savior is an excellent school. They have a lot to offer. The academics are excellent. They offer after school programs that are excellent and enriching. The principal, Mrs. Wend is excellent and has turned that school around. If you want a family oriented environment and academically challenging school, Loving Savior is the school for your children. I love this school. My children are very happy here. We will be here through 8th grade.

Below average overall. It's a hit and miss depend on what teachers you get. First half of my daughter's pre-school were nice, but then second half, tthey changed teacher, maybe have something to do with school saving money, so whoever is willing to take the lowest salary will teach (something like that). Teachers had the music going while kids suppose to take nap, and when questioned by parents, they said it's good for kids to calm down...(I don't mean classical or hymn music, I mean it's more like fast beat rock....) Director and secretary in the office don't care when brought to their attention....This was couple years ago...I hope things have changed......

This school is bad memories for me and my kids. Staff unfriendly to parents and staff don't tell to parents about important policies. Staff and the Director don't greeting and go down to see her parents or students. I've never seen them smiling. Do not want to recommend this school.

It's bad school, Director and secretary are not kind. Sometimes they are rude. They don't usually say hello, One day I donated money they were greeting only that time. Teachers are so so.

I am a past student of this school. I am currently a senior in high school. I have been very successful academically in high school. I am graduating with a 4.4 G.P.A. Loving Savior completely prepared me for high school, not only academically, but spiritually as well. I would not have been as prepared for high school if I went somewhere other than Loving Savior. My favorite teacher, Mrs. Wend, is now the principal. They could not have made a better choice. She is fair, tough, funny, sports fanatic (one downfall-she is a Cowboy fan) but loving. She is always willing to go the extra mile for all of the students. I know the kids in the classroom miss her, but I know she is better well served as the principal. If you want a school that prepares you for your future, go to Loving Savior. I want to be a surgeon for my career, and I owe my desire and motivation to Loving Savior because they prepared me for my future. The teachers push you to be the best and not settle for mediocre. Go Loving Savior!

My son has thrived at this school. The curriculum is unbelievable. We since had to take him out to save money and send him to public. My goodness what a difference that was. All the teachers are great and the principal Mrs. Page, is wonderful. The spiritual environment and the positive teachers and parents, make this a great place to bring your children.

Loving Savior of the Hills provides an excellent education for our children as well as a wonderful spiritual foundation . Mrs. Page is a wonderful principal whose door is always open. The parents are very involved in the school, and are always encouraged to become involved. I am very happy with the school and all it has to offer.

This is an excellent school. It is obvious that teachers and staff members are there for the purpose of enriching the children's education. They seem to have a 'multi-dimisional approach' to aiding in the development of their students [and sometimes parents too!]. I am very satisfied and confident that I selected a great environment in which my children can grow and learn.

We are thrilled with the education our 1st grader is receiving from LSOTH. Several friends and relatives have recently commented on how well she is reading. The teachers are professional, the principal is friendly and approachable, and the campus is beautiful. Representatives from WASC recently visited, and we hope the school will be able to announce its accreditation very soon.

I am a current 8th grader here at Loving Savior. Ever since i first started attending this school i have loved it. I don't absolutely love uniforms but I've grown accustomed to them. L.S. has had a very large impact on me, my study habits, the kind of student i have become, & how i feel socially. This school has helped me grow unlike my prior public school. i love L.S. and encourage more kids to be enrolled here. ~lgfl~

I am a student at Loving Savior and I love this school! I have built such great relationships here with the other students. Our teachers are awesome, especially Mrs. Wend and Mrs. Hottinger. They are always pushing us to do our best. Mrs. Wend is my favorite because she's nice and always has something encouraging and funny to say. And Mrs. Rowley's just awesome! Go to Loving Savior or else!

I have two children at LS. Overall, we are very satified with the cirriculum and the accomplishments of our Kindergartener. The only negative is that they charge for absolutely everything and they don't provide childcare for times of the year when other private schools with day care do. However, in comparison to other facilities we've looked into, the love and care is exceptional.

I am extremely satisfied with Loving Savior. The satff is exceptional and very caring. The children are learning at advanced levels and the teachers make learning fun for the children. Mrs. Oaxaca (kindergarten teacher) is the BEST!

I have two children currently attending at Loving Savior, one is in preschool and the other one is at Infant -Toddler Center. My oldest child teachers have done a good job and my child has been improving in her socio-cognitive skills. My little one has been taken well and seems very happy in that environment. I do recommend the Infant-Toddler Center and the preschool program at Loving Savior.

Our experience with Loving Savior this kindergarten year has been horrible. This school feels like a military school. Children are expected to behave like robots and not think for themselves. My child stepped out of the lunch line accidently and was punished by receiving a card. This school is not accredited and much of the curriculum is not age appropriate. Our stressed out five year old had to write pages and pages of reports. I feel it is ridiculous since they do not know what they are even writing about. A lot of work that should have been covered in class was sent home for the parents to deal with. My child will not be returning in the fall.

Our experience with Loving Savior this Kindergarten year has been horrible. This school feels more like a military school than a christian school. Children are expected to behave like robots and not think for themselves. My son literally stepped out of line for lunch and was punished by receiving a card. As far as the academics go- rote memorization is not learning! The curriculum for Kindergarteners is ridiculous. These stressed out five year olds are expected to write pages and pages of reports. Needless to say my child will be attending a fine Chino Hills public school next year!

Loving Savior is absolutely outstanding. Small class sizes on a traditional schedule. As for academics, my first grader's class is covering things I didn't until 3rd or 4th grade. The basics are all there, and are grounded in a strong faith-based foundation. Our children are taught that this is still one nation under God, and they learn all about the nation - the first graders know who their President, VP, senators, representatives, state senators, and state assembly people are. Math, science, reading, and even Spanish are there in first grade. Great facility with brand new buildings and wonderful church with a relatively small (200?) close-knit congregation.

My daughter has attended Loving Savior Lutheran School since she was 5 years old. We love the everything about it. She is always excited to get up every morning and go to school. The teachers are very dedicated and hard working. They strive to develop the best academics for each and every student in their class. Our Principal is totaly committed to the teachers, staff, and students. The school offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities. Most parents are highly involved in the school events and helping teachers and staff where and when they need it. My wife and I are extremely happy that we chose Loving Savior Lutheran School.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
