The best part of this school are the RSP teachers. Mrs. G. & Mrs. M. are an awesome team. If not for them I would have been long gone.

Alicia Cortez Elementary. I love my teachers & office staff. I do belive that we have lost our way a little but its nothing that can't be fixed. A little more discipline & parents getting involved we can get back to where we were. My second child will be starting this year & I could'nt be happier.

Although my daughter is just finishing up her kindergarten year, I have to say that both my husband and I are very happy with Cortez. Her teacher is great, the office staff pleasant, and her Principal seems to really care about the students in his school. I can't wait for 1st grade!

I have worked at Cortez for many years and I even brought my own children to this school years ago. I have found that Cortez has been the best school in helping children grow in education as well as, in developing a positive self-esteem for themselves.

Cortez has raised their test scores 70+ points in the past two years. We have the smartest kids in the world.

The teachers, staff members, students, and parents work hard to strive for excellence and make learning fun and meaningful. We have improved our AYP scores by 78 points in the last two years and are now at 846 API. We think that is just fantastic!

Alicia Cortez has been a great school for all 3 of my kids. The office staff is always welcoming. I have been very happy with every teacher my children have had from this school.

My daughter is starting her second year here at Cortez and my son is now starting Kindergarten and we are excited!!!! Cortez is an excellent school. We have gone through three schools in three different districts, one being one of the lowest rated 2 out of 10 at the time, and the other being a 9 out of 10. I must say Cortez is a perfect balance for my family, wonderful cirriculum, parent involvement, family oriented environment, and a staff that really cares. We are looking to buy a house and are having a hard time with being satisfied with the other districts and schools out there, Cortez makes moving and choosing a comparable school TUFF. Keep it up Cortez!!!! Nina Vander Broek

My son has gone to Alicia Cortez for 5 years now, and this is an excellent school. I have had nothing but positive experiences with the staff, teachers, and principle. I am proud of my son and what Alicia Cortez has done for him.

Overall Cortez is a great school. I don't like the teacher job share class that my child is in. It is two teachers working part time. I don't feel that they communicate with each other, or the parents enough.
