We have been battling with the district for almost two years. We requested testing for our son's learning disability; they refused. We had our son tested by a specialist; he was diagnosed with dyslexia and dysgraphia. A 504 meeting was held by the district, but only after all academic work for the year was completed. They decided his accommodations without asking us for input. They did not follow the specialist’s recommendations. His dyslexia was ignored. We filed a complaint with OCR. We met with his new teacher at the beginning of the new school year but his 504 accommodations have not been applied consistently. As a result of our OCR complaint, IEP testing finally took place in Sept/Oct. In Oct. an IEP meeting was held to inform us that the district determined he is not eligible for an IEP. We were not allowed to see any of the tests/data until six days later, after we paid for it, even though we had asked for it before the meeting. After looking at their data, we found many discrepancies in both testing and scoring. We stated our objections but were ignored. We requested an IEE at the district’s expense. They refused.

Reyburn is an excellent institution of a learning experience, is a very lovely school and my son enjoy begin here every day my best teacher is Mrs.Kohlruss and Mrs. Ohnassihan.

Reyburn has good campus safety. The principal is good, teachers professional for the most part. Athletics is important at this school.

Reyburn Intermediate offers quality educational programs and is supported by a professional staff of support personel. Student enrichment is augmented by various co curricular, sports, and music programs.
