I attended Saint Albert the Great in the early 1960's in the 7th grade. At that time there were no sisters, no convent, no auditorium, and there weren't many grade classes, but the studies were the same and of course the homework was always there to be done. I enjoyed my whole time there graduated in june 1963 and continued going to the school on the grounds because Regina Caeli wasn't built yet and the Cows were across the street where the school stands today. One year in particular st. Albert the great School flooded because of the rain books were floated in the class rooms and some desk too. Of course school was cancelled that week, other things that happened many dances were at the hall back in the day and little carnivals would be set up on the grounds, many activities that St. Albert the great school did then the students were always involved especially during christmas time with plays and choir singing and such, we also played and won volley ball games during those years also. just a great time to be a student at Saint Albert's, and I hope the students of today are enjoying their time there too. Maria Perryman class of 1963
Excellent school. My son has been attending St Albert for 6 yrs now and I must say that they have an excellent curriculum as well as a great staff. Mrs. Johnson, the principal, is a prime example of what school principal's should be. She gives her all to her students. My son is now in Mr. Taurac's class and I believe that he is an excellent instructor. He goes out of his way to make sure the children have all they need and are prepared for the following year.

My son attends St. Albert and I love their curriculum. Not only do the children get to learn about Religion they learn how to grow as a person. If you instill values in a young person they will grow up to be caring, understanding adults. I can see the difference between a student from a private school and a student who is from a public school. The children have a reinforcement at school as well as from the parents at home. My friend who is a third gade teacher stated to me that public school children are way behind. If you don't believe me look at the statistics of children who fail or get very low grades on the CAT test. Also, look at the number of children who don't pass the exit exam when they are seniors in public school. I rest my case.

I love St. Albert the Great Elementary. All three of my children attend. My oldest child J. Kelsey started in 2003. The principal Mrs. Tina Johnson has really improved the quality of an already exceptional school. May God bless you all for taking such wonderful care of my children. Mrs. Tina Johnson is the best principal ever.

I'm a former student and now my son attends this school. I'm also very pleased with the school and its staff. My son went to 2 other schools and they didn't know how to deal with him. He wasn't learning and he was just getting into trouble all the time. We had to return him to St. Albert because they were able to deal with him there. They had the patience for him and he learned so much! His behavior improved so much as well. He also started praying before going to bed and saying thanks for his meals. Both my husband and I love this place!

I'm very happy to have my children here as they have improved a lot since they were in a public school. The staff is great and very helpful. Thank you for your hard work.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible... I am a former student and the quality of education has declined. I sent my children there and was disappointed. I agree with the previous reviews when stated that tuition supercedes education. The teachers were 'teachers' aides' (involved parents at the time) when I attended so that isn't saying much for the school. Mrs. Parham resigned without warning. Administration advised the parents not to inquire about the sudden events and the principal of the middle school ran both schools. Totally disappointed... A waste of time and money...

I was very disappointed in St. Albert the Great. My daughter attended this school for 2 years and I was shocked that a 1st grade class would be filled with 30+ children. The principal did nothing to reassure me as a parent that my child would learn in an overcrowded classroom. Furthermore, there is a lack of Catholic values being taught at St. Albert the Great. It is a sad shame when you are asked to complete a permission form for your child to participate in a Christmas program. As a result, I removed my daughter from this school.

St. Albert the Great is an excellent school with outstanding leadership in the form of principal, Mrs. D. Parham. St. Albert is in excellent hands and has florished under the leadership of Mrs. Parham. I wholeheartedly support her as principal and believe that she has done and continues to do an outstanding job making sure our children are being well educated. St. Albert the Great is in good hands and I look forward to its continued success under the leadership of Mrs. Parham. Thanks for all that you do and for being the, christian, professional, yet caring administrator that you are. Signed, A well satisfied parent, Ms. P. A. Wells

I completely disagree with the previous review. I have worked closely with the teachers and principal of this school for 3 years, and always found them friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I think St. Albert the Great is a wonderful school.

I pulled my children out in only three weeks. The curriculum is the same as public school with a little religion. Please doyour homework before you place your kids there.

I am a former student of St. Albert and can attest to the excellent education provided to the students. I and several of my family members and friends are former students/ graduates of St. Albert. When I was a student there, there was a diverse student body, plenty of extracurriculars, and good teachers.

My daughter attend this school in her 7th grade year and I was really disappointed in the lack of communication with the teachers and the parents. She never had homework in her science class and the teachers wanted to wait until parent conference to let you know that your child had done a certain thing. I never met the principal only the vice principal. I regret sending my child their I felt like I wasted my money.

I have to say when I enrolled my child at St Albert the Great School I was 'totally' shocked. Where is the concern for children's education here? This is supposed to be a Holy Institution. St Albert's main concern is tuition. If St Albert showed as much concern for the quality of education for its children as they do ensuring they get their money every month they might be on to something. St Albert's enrollment is going down...down...down... Obviously many parents have had experiences just as awful as we had there. The reputation and enrollment is plummeting.

My child has attended this school going on the third year and until this recent year I really enjoyed the school overall. The school now is more focused on the business aspect of things like mandatory automatic tuition payments, overcrowded classroom 35 students and I don't feel the teachers are qualified to handle classes this size without credentials. Tuition, before and afterschool rates are increased by over 50%, the fundraiser quota for selling candy has doubled as well. My child's teacher has expressed not being able to handle the class this size but this is something she has no control over. She therefore cannot work with children that aren't as quick to learn as others and suggest that I find another school for my child. I don't see any effort made to teach a quality education at this school. Catholic schools should rethink the classroom size requirements from 40/class to half.

My daughter has gone to St Albert for 3+ years now. I am really disappointed in the teaching staff at the school this year. My daughter's teacher has pretty much given up on her after only 3 weeks of school. I pay for my daughter's education and the effort just isn't there. I really loved this school the past 2 years but the business end of things have superceded the quality of children's education. Public schools' new law of class sizes and teaching credentials has shown a real interest in the quality of education. You would think a Holy Institute would catch on...
