My daughter started at Mandela last year, and she absolutely loves their Montessori approach. She is in the Pre-K/Kindergarten class, and all of the activities are very hands on. It is a small school, where the older students in the next class help guide the young ones like a family. From second grade on, the students learn Japanese, Spanish and they may play the recorder if they wish. There is tons of parent involvement at Mandela. Aside from the one hour of volunteer time, which is required each month, many parents step in to teach Yoga, Dance and Art. It is a warm, nurturing environment.
