The St. Timothy's Episcopal School is an academically focused Early Childhood Musical Conservatory for grades Toddlers, Pre-K grade to 6th grade with a Pedagogical focus using the Reggio Emilia Inspired Approach using the Suzuki Method of Music that is inclusive of the most current thinking around STEM and STEAM Education as a Foundation. It is our belief that Music Education is a Powerful Tool for a Child's development and current research confirms that music training stimulates a whole network of brain areas, and that musical activity draws on nearly every region of the brain. We believe that music education speeds the development of speech and reading skills, trains children to focus their attention for sustained periods, and helps them to develop empathy and emotional intelligence. The use of new technologies in neuroscience over the last decade has given researchers a better understanding of exactly what happens inside the brain when it process music, and how this actively contriutes to better learning and functioning. we are now Enrolling: Call: 310 638 6319 for more information

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
