I have 2 boys. Both have gone to this school It was great for my first son, wrestling & football great coaches. Academics, good teachers in all those dept. When it came to my 2nd son,it was very difficult He has an IEP he is ADD & Aspergers. he needed an aide in the classroom, that was not available. Hiscomprehesion comprehension
I don't like Corning high school because the teachers are not that great and the sports are not all the great either. Central Valley High School in Shasta Lake, California is the school to go to!!!
all 3 of my children have and are attending this school two have graduated and I beleive it was a great school for my kids, although I beleive that your school is what you make it , if you choose not to get envolved in any activities you probably will not have a good experience. You have to get envoleved with Groups, Sports, Class time and eveything inbetween If you keep your grades up you should have a great experience... The teachers have all been very supportive with all my childern. I had the chance to get them in this school and I choose to drive them the 30 miles every day so they have a good school to go to...
I really didn't like Corning High School. Over all the high school is a safe place for my children to attend
My two of my four children have attended this high school and it's academic programs are on level with the requirements. Teachers provide the students with the opportunity to expand their ideas and learning capabilities. As far as the sports there is a growing amount of sports that my children had. On the other hand there wasn't a variety of clubs. The greatest opportunity from this school is that all parents are given the opportunity to get involved and they use every method to make sure parents are involved. Over all this school has the academic status, has students involved and dedicated to the extra activities, and keep the parents on track with the status of our children. Most importantly this school teaches the children to expand their talents and to reach for their goals once they complete their school year.
We have children that currently go to this school and are involved in sports & extra curricular activities and are treated with respect. The Teachers encourage all students to get involved with extra curricular activities, not only does it help the student but it also helps the school & community.
I think Corning Union High school is overall pretty well. My only problem is that the teachers and the office staff tend to favor those students who are in extracurricular activities and let them get away with things that other students wouldn't. I just believe every student should be equal, sports or no sports!
Over all CUHS is a very good school when it comes to accademics, but the teachers do have a tendency to be more helpful with the students that are in the sports programs. I am a former student from this school and have seen the results of this. But over all it is a very good school for such a small community, and does have a very good curriculum.
