My daughter goes to this school and loves it. She is a A student and says that the teachers are extreamly helpful. I have witnessed a school/teachers that truly cares about the students and do whatever is needed to help.

ahahaha, don't even consider citrus if you want your child to have a stable emotional condition & if you want them to not smoke hookah by the time they're in eighth grade. this school is the worst mistake i've made in my life. i no longer go here because of the things i've expirienced. drama here spreads like wildfire, everyone picks up the cussing by the time they've reached seventh period on the second day, & kids are getting pregnant/smoking & instagraming it daily. if you go on instagram & look up some of citrus's kids, i guarantee you'll find half of them to be smoking hookah. not a good idea. dont send them to this school, so much has happened to me here that. my emotional state is seriously shaky; so much that i had to be withdrawed from school. i was constantly having suicidal thoughts. protect your child & do NOT send them to this school.

I am so upset that there is no Bus transportation especially when it is 103 degrees outside and my nephew is expected to walk 2 1/2 miles home. What on earth is going on? So the answer to this problem seems to pull him out of school and home school him. I know I can't possibly be the only parent/guardian that is upset about this. Come parents - rebel! Let's get this changed!!!!

I am curently at citrus hills intermediante school. I am an 8th grader and i loved 7th grade. It was so simpal and easy. For all the incomming 7th graders i would recommend you go to citrus hills because you would learn alot of different things here and it would get you ready for high school. I love all the teachers here. They are very fun and cool and nice. Our principal is very nice and understanding. There are really no chalenging things at citrus hills. It is so much fun here. You get to cook, sew, make rockets, and a whole lot of other stuff. They have band and choir. I was in choir in 7th grade and it was so much funn. The band is really fun and cool. So yah if you want your child to succeed in life go to citrus hills. They push you to do your best. They wont let you fail. The more you succeed the more you have fun.

I love this school! It is a million times better than El Cerrito!! It is really cool, and it's bigger, which is a good thing because it will get you used to high school! Overall, it's amazing (:

I am a current honors' student here at Citrus Hills Intermediate School. I must say that I love this school and believe that it is the perfect learning environment. This school is great, I love the teachers and I have had so many positive memories here and hope to have more. If you're a parent and are asking, 'Should my child go here?' citrus is really run...im a student there right now...and the teachers are freally fun and so is the school...the rules can be unfair sometimes but overall the school is really fun...its not boring...for some students like me and my friends we like it because ther is things they have at lunch...citrus is probablly one of the best jr. high schools iv been to

I have been very happy with the 7A Track Teachers. I was concerned about how large the school was and my fears have been overcome by their Team approach and availability of the teachers. They seem to be there for the kids

Honors classes do not provide the challenge necessary for gifted kids. Teachers are very overworked, and willingly admit to it. They provide very little feedback on children's classwork because of the sheer number of students they must teach (typically 180+). Classes extremely crowded (40+) even in honors math. The school provided little academic enrichment for my gifted child. Parental involvement is limited unless you are part of 'the group' I practically had to beg to volunteer, and then they called me one time.

About the tests


In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

The different student groups are identified by the California Department of Education; if there are fewer than 10 students in a particular group in a school, the state doesn't report data for that group.
