The staff at this school has worked tremendously hard the last 5 or 6 years to increase student achievement. They have been extremely successful. They made the most growth on the state tests in the district. Pretty amazing. The entire staff is fully trained to support the programs happening there. They are a very collaborative team that only focuses on student learning. This is an amazing place to be and learn and if your children go there or if you have had the chance to teach there, you are fortuante. I was a fortunate one. I am a great teacher today because of Jefferson.

My kids are new to this school, the teachers are great, really involved, the ones that I have knowledge of,5 and 6 grades have a school band, and there is a mariachi which I don't have much information about it,they have regular PE classes, but the school is not meeting the federal level on English , math is going great..but unfortunately there is not much parent involvement and the school really need them. The School have the not child left behind program and other programs running to help the students improve in the areas needed, it is a good school , will be much better is the parents get more involved.

There are many programs for students to get involved in after school. The principal is very conscious of student learning. She observes and works with all teachers to make sure that all lessons are based on standards.

Both of my children have gone to Jefferson. I have always found the teachers to be very understanding and patient.
