Vicentia is easily the worst school in the district. The administration is unresponsive, disconnected and aloof. If you live in the area and you care about your child's education please put them into Lincoln.
Great teachers keep students on track for future. Classrooms could use teacher assistants for more quality teacher time.
This is NOT the same school I grew up going to! In the morning, staff is outside yelling and frantically pointing at the drivers to get the line moving. I feel like my daughter is going to fall out of the car. My husband and I both dread dropping her off. When it's time to pick up the kids, the children line up at the wall with their teachers and the parents have to get out to of the car (kids in tote) and line up behind the fence, waiting for the teacher to spot us and let our student walk down the pathway to the parent line Her teacher seems sweet but it's hard to speak with her. I hate that I have to get ALL my information about what's happening in class from my Kindergartener. If I'm supposed to bring stuff for a party, I would like a note and a chance to speak to the teacher if I have questions. I've never been given an email for the teacher or anyway to contact her expcept throught the school...and that takes a few days for a response. The school's idea of informing the parents is with these ANNOYING automated calls several times a week to BOTH phones. Plus, her teacher is so busy with the Spanish speaking kids that she doesn't have time to challenge the other students.
Phenomenal! I recently moved to Corona and was worried when I saw my son would be attending Vicentia with a '6' rating and the first 2 comments...I've been blown away! The principal is awesome, teachers are great and there is a lot of parent volunteers especially when it comes to pick up and drop off....this school is a '10' in my book. Send your kids to Vicentia with confidence!
The staff at this school is phenomenal. Both principals have 100% of the children in check. Whatever they're doing is right in our book. The personal attention our child receives is astounding. He is at the top of his class and gets more challenging homework to bring home. We don't care what the ratings say anymore. Thank you vicentia vikings
This school was not as academically challenging as my first child's elementary school was. Did not have a lot of parent involvement. Although the teachers and staff are great, through comparison with other parents at other schools, it seems this school is not as tough as others in the district.
My four children went to this school and they are now in their 30's and now my grandson goes there, in fact he had the same kindergarten teacher as one of them had. Just wish they could get some money to update the supplies that the teachers have to use and to furnish themselves.
This is a very good school. What I liked about the school is the teacher and parent involvement in the education goals of the students.
