Au contraire with the above review! Our daughter just completed her first year at Allaire School and if you searched the universe, I do not think you could find a better school for the learning and socially challenged student. Ms. Allaire customizes the curriculum for her students, taking them where they are now to where they need to get to; truly fulfilling the learning potential of each and every student. This teacher knows what she is clearly doing on a day by day, hour to hour basis. Our daughter has been in another special ed. school and we are thrilled she is an Allaire Student. She has made so much progress at this school. Additionally, Ms. Allaire has a stellar staff that know how to implement her learning techniques and style. As long as Ms. Allaire is the one with the special education degree, that s what is important. The other teachers add so much vitality in terms of language (Italian!), Math, Physical Education, Drama and Social Studies. Ms. Allaire thoroughly knows her curriculum and students; there are no gimmicks here, just straight forward teaching. Truly, this school is a gem in every way.

VERY DISAPPOINTING. Ms. Allaire was dishonest in how she represented this program. I was told there was a 4 to 1 student teacher ratio and that the carriculum would be tailored to my child's individual needs; however, I discovered that the term "teacher" really only referred to Ms Allaire, and that the rest of her staff was not informed of each childs unique learning challenge, much less educated in how to deal with them. The only person actually trained in special ed. was Ms. Allaire. The school is just one giant classroom run by one teacher, and several teachers aids that follow her instructions. With such a broad age range, the quality of education was dummied down to accomodate the whole and not the individual student. With only one teacher present, the wait time for each student to get help was rediculous. Not at all what was promised.
