Great environment ! You feel like your part of a family here and it's not all books as some would say, sports are trying to be added so that shouldn't be an issue for those who want to stop doing sports .

I previously attended this high school up to my senior year and had to move due to family reasons and found from comparison to the other Early College High School that the quality of education received here is below par and the promises of college credits should be discredited. When I first entered the campus in Freshman year the students all seemed to click as they were here for the same reason, to attain a High School Diploma as well as some college credits. But as classes started and the school years went by, the high school showed it's true colors. Most of the teachers were all but helpful and mainly taught the material as they read it in the textbooks, and the new courses were taught by unqualified teachers that were majored in another area of study, they also allowed for extensive notes that could be used on the exams. They also taught based on their liking more than on the districts standards. The award ceremonies were a joke as most of the student awards went to students who would make a teacher smile and befriend them instead of basing the awards on academic/moral success. The college teachers were unqualified to teach and had no idea what to teach. In total, subpar.

Great school and very cool with all the house competitions . Also like that it's a small campus and that they're starting to make sports possibles . Soccer started this year!

Though our school is small, it is one of the best environments you could choose to be in both socially and academically. We have smaller classes, so we get a lot of 1 on 1 help from our teachers, who are fantastic. We don't have a lot of drama, we don't have cliques, and we've never had a fight before- what high school can say that? Our test scores are number 3 in the county, and we know how to play a mean game of soccer!

This school is good for students who don't care about extra curricular activities, don't need sports, or much of a social life. If you go here, it's just work. Work, work, work. I always got B's and A's, coming to this school, I have all B's or C's. More C's now with all the work that can be randomly thrown at you when you have to juggle work and studies. I don't like the environment of the school, you'd expect the less people, the more nice they would be, but that's not true. You're pretty much obligated to join a group, whether you like them or not. Sure, you can be off on your own, but you're an outcast, in an already small school. It's depressing. I hope to leave soon

Honestly this school is good for people that want to focus on their academics only. Attending the school shows colleges you're serious, so graduates from here usually get into decent universities. The school is very dry in my opinion because of the lack of extracurricular activities. If you're only going because of the college credits, do your research. Because of budget cuts and recent changes, its not even possible for students to get their AAs by graduation anymore unless they pay for the classes themselves at another community college. now, as for my personal experience here, it was overwhelmingly depressing. There was no creative outlet for me at the school, I got home at 5 each day and did homework until I went to bed, which was never earlier than 12. I was taking all AP and honors classes as well as a zero period, so my case may not be the most common. I didn't fit in anywhere, and it might be because there werent many students to chose as friends (small school), but I may be wrong. Anyways, be willing to give up sports and other fun activities if you come here. Be willing to put in the time.

This is a great school! i am so glad i transferred from Costa Mesa High School. I have met so many new people and they are all super nice! I know practically everyone at the school because its so small. And the teachers are all amazing! They are all so nice and caring, and you can tell they want you to succeed. They help us with anything we need and they are always there for us when we need them! I couldn't ask for a better educational environment for myself. I LOVE this school and i cant imagine what i would do if i didn't go there!

I love the personal attention my child gets at ECHS. The classes are small; the teachers and even the principal knows each and every student individually. I feel that my student benefits from the emphasis on group project focused learning. It is teaching him to work well and solve problems with others. ECHS is preparing my child for college and the real world.

This is a great school. Everyone seems nice and friendly and no one tries to intimidate me. The teachers expect a lot from us but they also help us a lot. It's a great school if you're not crazy about being in sports and all...

I love this school i have been challanged so much to do the best i can and the teachers are really caring. If i were at a normal high school at the moment, i would have a 4.0. But this school challenges me to do great. Although i dont have the perfect 4.0 Im getting there and i will reach that goal! i have really been prepared for college! thanks so much!
