this is one of the best schools I have seen. not only does it allow your child to learn and grow at their own pace, while challenging their minds, but it also teaches etiquette.

I love this school! The best though is that my children love going to this school! If you want a caring and challenging environment that lets your child work at their own pace....This is the school for you! I am so happy it was recommended to me or I may have never found Star Valley!

My experience has been great not only my 7 years old is doing good in school but he love going everyday and seeing his teachers. He has been enrolled only for 2 years and he already speaks French, German, Japanees and Spanich, his science skills has inprove so much as well as Math and reading to him its fun to play math games in the car and reading in his room while I make dinner. The school and the Principal has been a blesing to my family. Thank you so much!

Extremely disappointed. I am a staunch believer in alternative education, and thought this would be our dream school. A lot was promised. For instance, an East Coast college preparatory education, a first-class language program, and a highly sophisticated Science and Botany program, to name just three of the many promises made. Not so at all. While I found that the staff was caring and the environment rather warm and comfortable, I also found that this school is too preoccupied with staying afloat and not putting the effort promised into the children's education. Alternative education is not 'unstable education'. This school is too unstable for my taste and based on my experience, I feel this will not get better over time. But, to quote another parent, 'to each their own.'

I put my 8 yr old daughter here specifically because of the alternative style of learning and the awesome director of the school. I really like the fact that these kids aren't pressured here like they are at all the other private AND public schools around. She is above average in all subjects especially math!! She isn't even done with the 2nd grade and is working on 4th grade math. She is also speaking french, japanese, german, spanish and of course english. My son will be attending soon and all other future children we have will be attending! The directors 1st class ever will be graduating this year with excellent grades and I can't wait to find out which colleges and universities are seeking them.

I have my 7 yr. old daughter here for the past two years and we consider this school her second home. The teachers are raising my child emotionally and spiritually, as well as academically. The teachers get to know and care about each individual because of the small class ratio and truly love their students. This school may not be for everyone but to each their own. We choose to live in Cotati solely on the fact this school is here.

I found Star Valley to be unsatisfactory because they are not keeping these children up to grade level as I found out when my son entered 6th grade at a different school and was behind. He only spent one year at Star Valley and he was found to be behind the other students at his new REACH program. Also having trouble getting a refund of tuition as promised by the school.

Former students of this school are finding that they are far behind grade level in all subjects, especially math. I found the school to be disorganized and unprepared to teach. Real education was sorely lacking.
