West valley is an excellent school. Every one is involved and both their sports and academics are great for their school size.

If you play football, basketball, or baseball as a male, or volleyball, basketball, softball, as a female you'll go far at West Valley - but that is their focus. When the administration walk around in lettermen jackets, you know that school is sports oriented. There is not a lot of activities for the child interested in something other than sports. The football coach/program rules the school.

Good administrators for the most part great teachers(a few questionable).A high percentage of parent involment. Excelent sports, 4-H, ROP and dance. If your in to color gaurd and music however, they are doing away with it next year. Great community involvment. A fun school. Academics is a mixed review. I am one of those moms that the kids seam to congregate on my front stoop and about 50% are doing good meaning being prepared for college and their future and 50% aren't. However, the whole town (very small) gets involved at games, for sober grad, graduation, home comming, etc. I'ts great fun and everyone knows everyone. A large school with a small town feel.

Excellent school with many options for many children. Faculty is very responsive and the administration appears to do its best to provide excellent opportunities for its students and staff.

Any type of sport you can find here, and Academics is still top priority. Governor's awards for excellence several years in a row, and Football champs! Marching band, color guard, foreign language, and an active 4-h club, are just a few of the features at West Valley High. Students come from other cities and other counties to attend here, because parents like the quality. Check out their website and see what they have to offer.

West Valley has given my children opportunities in academics and athletics that have been positive and character-building. It is a school where students' needs are a priority. As a parent, I have been treated with respect and courtesy. We are proud to be a part of this school.

I find the school to be an average High school for the area. Administration and staff needs to work on Educational Code, Civil Rights and Due Process procedures ... etc. Teachers need to take more of an active role with students and parents, when parents make multiple requests for teachers to contact them. All students must be treated equally and fairly. School administration should be held to the same standards requested of students and when the administration is in violation of these standards they also must be held accountable.

This is a safe school in a small northern California town. It excells in scholastics and in athletics. Would not live anywhere else but in this district.
