I go to West Cottonwood and i love this school so much! I am in eighth grade now and have been in the Cottonwood district my whole life and the whole staff is so nice and every student is nice too!! There are not really cliques just your friends and everyone talks to everyone!!There is no bullying and the academics are so wonderful. They also have lots of sport activities to partake in and if you have to find a school for your student i recommend West Cottonwood. I would not want to go anywhere else. Go Chieftains!

Our experience with the teachers at West Cottonwood are dramatically night and day, from our previous school. These teachers actually make sure the kids understand the concepts, Prior to moving on to the next building block--better preparing them! Amazing.. Also brilliant, is having a built-in 1 hr study hall at the end of the day, so kids have a teacher there to help with the trickier problems! What a concept, teachers teaching! Major kuddos to you for attempting to 'Leave no child behind'.

This is a good school for maintaining academic and extracurricular activities. They have good sports and music programs as well as caring staff. The parent participation is also good.

From Band to Choir to Track to Soccer.. this school is full of extracurricular activities. Acadamics, however is the focus of the school that ranked top 10 in the state 8 years in a row! I'm proud of our kids, and proud of our school. The teachers are caring, the principal listens to parents' concerns. What more could you ask! class sizes are small and the library is large, just like it should be. This is a great school, and my kids came out of it prepared for high school in a way other kids from other elementary schools weren't. Check the test scores of this school compared to state averages. You will see how well our kids performed! A great school, highly recommended!
