Best teachers ever! The drama department is the main reason my kid is excited for school everyday. Nice to see a school focused on more than just sports.

Royal Oak Choirs did a great job representing their school at the SCVA Choir Festival at Marshal Fundamental School in Pasadena on April 20th. Their hard work this semester paid off, with one group receiving an Excellent rating and the other group a Superior rating.  Go 'Runners!

ROMS Drama finally got the fantastic news about the 2nd national competition that The Drowsy Chaperone was entered in. The American Prize evaluates community, university, and high school level performance groups in several arts areas. Mrs. Pedroche felt so sure that her cast of The Drowsy Chaperone could stand up to the competition that she entered her Jr. High production in the contest. The judges were incredibly impressed with the quality and talent of the production. Though first place went to a University program, and second went to a high school pay-to-perform troupe, ROMS Drama received a special judges award and third place (beating out performing arts high schools)!

I am completely impressed by the teachers and staff of Royal Oak MS. My son loves it here. I appreciate their strict standards regarding bullying, dress codes, and student safety.

Royal Oak Middle School is an outstanding school for students in grades 7-8. The school offers STEM class that include Project Lead the Way Automation and Robotics and Design and Modeling. ROMS has a great TV/media program, award winning visual and performing arts, and outstanding life skills classes. ROMS is one of the only public middle schools in the area that participates in the regional and state History Day and Science Fair competitions. Their school library is very inviting. Their ASB is very active. ROMS offers many after school athletic programs that compete with area schools. ROMS has very dedicated teachers, support staff, and administrators.
