Okay, this school is gradually growing. It can use some more improvements in some areas, but all around its a good school. The football field and the gym is looking better than ever. The school is always pushing for you for success. They have different routes for specific desire (sports, health, arts, agriculture etc.) Their AVID is great, but some of those teachers are not so great. There are always teachers offering help during break, lunch, and after school. They have plenty of AP and honors classes to offer. The regular classes are often quite the loud ones depending on the students. Sometimes teachers quit trying to keep the kids down and continue to teach to those who want to learn. There also is quite a lot of extracurricular classes. Most of the people I know are in at least one or two. Lunch food. The food is probably not be exactly “healthy”, but the do encourage to get fruits or vegetables before you leave. There are 4 different lunch lines: the barbecue line, cold food, hot food, and the main cafeteria line. The barbecue offers chicken burger, hamburger, cheeseburger, and hot dog. You can put whatever you'd like in your burger/hot dog(lettuce, cheese, etc.) and grab your condiments after you pay. With fruits, chips, pretzels, or crackers to grab before you leave. The cold and food are self-explanatory. There are two separate lines. Cold food provides salad in a cup thing which is called a shaker, and different types of sandwiches. I can't quite remember the whole list, but they have it posted on the window . The hot food has burritos, calzones, and others. Can't remember much on this one either, but it does have it posted on the window also. They have fruits, platter of veggies to offer with ranch, and the small snacks. Ah, the cafeteria line. The main line where those grab their breakfast, brunch, and lunch. The breakfast line is literally a just come in and left within a minute or two. Brunch is quite hectic since people cut right and left. I can kinda of get it since we only have 10mins to eat, but people get quite pushy. Lunch is more smooth flowing. You enter through a different door and two separate lines for buffet line and the patty sandwich line. Buffet also is different everyday.

The teachers are dedicated, caring and involved with their students. The principal doesn't appear to be as involved or motivated to make school improvements as she should be. Although there are some opportunities for parent involvement, they are not readily presented to parents wishing to become involved.

This school is great!!! All the teachers teach you a lot and they all seem to care about everyone's success. Plus the teachers also have time to help you when you need help for homework during break and lunch. It's a big school and you will make many friends there and have a good time. Oh and they have a lot of AP and honors classes to choose from as well as many clubs in the school. The only bad thing thing is that we don't have any lockers, there's only lockers for P.E. but I totally reccommend people to come to this school.

I have just completed my first year at UCR and thanks to Covina High School I was prepared not only physically but also socially. Covina High School was a great school and is becoming even better with time. They have wonderful teachers who are young and energetic to teach. With many extra curricular activities and clubs students such as clubs and sports teams students are exposed to many different social groups. Though Covina does not focus 100% of their time and money on their sports teams they have a wonderful learning curriculum. I highly recommend this school to anyone because this school is has all the great qualities of a school in a small home environment.

The worst school of all! I learned more in one semester in community college than 4 years at Covina High School! you have teachers teaching three subjects while they should be focusing in one! There is only one advisor that is kinda good, but still they should hire advisors with heart. Covina High school needs help and direction. take your kids to south hills or west covina High!
