this will be the last year for my youngeest in El Rincon. She almost have a perfect score on STAR. She loved her previous teachers and she is excited to have the one she now have. Thank you El Rincon Principal & staffs for providing en enriching education and social skills for the children.
My daughter is entering her 2nd year at El Rincon and we are estatic. Her 1st year was absolutely wonderful. She had an excellent teacher, many activities to participate in during and after school. I also appreciate the no nonsense policy at El Rincon. The school has structure and dicipline.
This is what a perfect elementary school should look like. All of the teachers are highly qualified. The unique student body represents what real life looks like. Forget the facade of learning a foreign language, these kids learn how to get along in life. All schools should take note and try to be anything close to what El Rincon is. The world would truly be a wonderful place!
El Rincon has an amazing principal and leader. She has led a diverse school population to increase achievement as well as increase artistic ability. The chess club has helped my children problem solve in a stress-free environment. The teachers are awesome. Keep it up, El Rincon!
My eldest began kindergarten in 1998. My youngest child has one year left to go. The two principals have been excellent leaders. I have been impressed over and over with the quality of teaching my children have received. I've volunteered in my kids' classrooms every year and have often been amazed at how well their teachers tackled new concepts as well as old, familiar subjects. All three kids consistently tested in the upper 90s on their STAR & CAT6 tests; one even achieved a perfect score one year. Their teachers prepared them well but never fell into just teaching to the tests. My children have all been challenged academically, socially and artistically (the older ones came back this year to help paint a mural on campus). The band and chorus programs have been fun. Each year more parents join the PTA and Booster Club, but still more are needed. Yea Cougars!
The academic program at El Rincon is cohesive and uniformed. There reading program is great. The playground needs more supervision. The diversity of the student body is a mini-united nations. I love their aggressiveness regarding discipline and the no contact rule!!
What a wonderful school. I am so happy with our decision to move to Culver City and especially happy that our children are at El Rincon and love going to school.
This a great school. It has a principal who is involved and really cares for the children. My third grader came to this school last year. Within a short few months I saw a huge improvement in her reading skills. In fact, she has improved significantly in most subjects. The school is also very health conscious. They have a fruit/salad bar at lunch time, and P.E. every day. They encourage a healthy lifestyle, and the children really take heart to it. Now my daughter asks for fruit instead of cookies. She reads more than she watches TV...The only thing change I would recommend is better supervision on the playground.
Excellent teachers in a good environment. Play area is an area that needs attention, though.
A real community. Teachers are concerned, kids are excited to learn and parents are welcomed to participate. The principal is fantastic--a real inspirational leader. Campus is clean and beautiful. School is very diverse racially and economically. My only complaint is that I believe the playground should be monitored more closely.
My son has attended El Rincon since kindergarden and is now in 5th grade. He has had excellent teachers and I always feel that he is getting the attention he deserves. The school is always safe and secure and the classrooms are organized, neat and clean. I have started my daughter in first grade and she loves it!
Many improvement in the past years. The school has a language program.
The parent participation and teacher involvement are great! The school manages to challenge the students academically and creatively while providing structure and a strong partnership between the principal, teachers and parents.
A very good school with good teacher to student ratio. The teachers are well experienced and discipline is good. The parents are well involved in the school's activities.
This is our first year at El Rincon and I have truly enjoyed the teachers and the parents and I think my daughter has enjoyed the experience also. I really feel like they care about us. And my daughter has done so much better since arriving at El Rincon. Thanks, Simms Family
I really enjoy El Rincon! Excellent teachers, large playground, very diverse. My kids are very happy there! -Lisia
